.__. Might I just point out that NEAR is justice. Honestly and truthfully. Though he was the fuel to Mello's obsession with, well, being the best, you have to consider the following. Without Near, Mello would have never had the motivation or drive to accomplish all that he did. Through angering Mello, Near brought out the best in him (to a degree) therefore ending the Kira case and restoring PROPER justice to the world. Let's face it, if Mello was justice, well, we'd all die. Knowing Mello, he tends to love shooting people.
