I haven't seen PJO and honestly I don't want to, it seems like a giant mischaracterization and it seems to put a lot of deeper stories to shame :(

another messed up part of that is once perseus was done using medusa's head to hunt other monsters/legends, he gifted it back to athena. athena then put medusa's head on her shield and did the same thing

fun fact, its actually Hellenic and not hellenistic. I'm not sure why that is I just know what that is

but she's not one hundred percent bad some did special things -
yeah it's such a twisted story overall, but i felt i could relate to medusa a little (maybe not in the beauty department LMAO) so i got the tattoo. a LOT of greek stories are super brutal once you really get into them

Yeah I feel like a lot of stories are, especially older ones. I was on a huge kick of the OG Disney stories for a while, those were all kinds of wild.
