time is crazy man
totally a blur -
i think that's a great thing, i've been very excited for graduation so i can jump straight into college. college seems like a very mellow experience because there's structure and order in it. people know their career paths, and their brains are closer to being fully developed. you talk to adults
i like talking to adults because they're mostly chiller than teenagers
most teenagers are evil -
this isn't coming from a biased perspective, it's just endocrinology. adults usually don't have raging hormones like teenagers do and their frontal lobes are better developed so they just have better impulse control all in all
-
i've gone over a couple career options and i'm for sure i have my university picked but it's been a huge struggle with careers man💔
i wanted to pursue computer science in favor of game development because it's a way to combine tech and artistic opportunities into one career, and it does pay well if you get into a good indie studio (and stay in), but it's a little oversaturated and competitive
to be fair, all of the job i'm checking out are competitive lol💔 yknaw what they're cool though
next was neuroscience and architecture. neuroscience is something that interests me because i find brains and neurons and all that fun jazz incredibly fascinating to learn and study about. it's a very stable job too, but the only con is it's more for if you're a science-y person than an artsy one -
for architecture things got a little complicated. the idea is so cool, i mean you get to work with engineers and see your ideas branch out in real time while combining artistic ability, but the issue is it's incredibly limited by mathematics and offers little space for creative interpretation
it's still awesome though man, and it pays well. just super competitive like the rest -
then of course were the lower-end, super oversaturated jobs i originally wanted to pursue and, honestly, might be unrealistic. they were storyboarding, animation, graphic designs/illustrations, or just entrepreneurship in general, which is a huge risk in the business world because starting a business is very very tough work. with the right mindset, totally obtainable, but sometimes it is luck-based too
-
i love thinking about these things because it's a deep-dive into the values i want for a future
i'm not willing to work for an office job, but i am willing to combine that with creative fields. which is why finding an indie studio to collaborate with is such a huge dream of mine -
