he’s going to be gone and none of us are ever going to see him again
-
this really hurts
-
i feel like nobody cares about me and it’s such a horrible feeling because it makes me rethink the people i have around me 😞 i’ve always been there for others during their bad days and lowest moments, always checked in on them, always done nice things for them, and i’m always being handed dirt in return especially on my bad days
-
i don’t know what to do except cry
-
i’m such a dramatic person i swear bad days aren’t going to be the end of me
-
i kind of wish they were though
-
oh my gosh i’m just going to pack, i can’t put up with this and i’m being very dramatic
i have a lot on my roster anyway, we’re going on a 3 day trip to perform for choir -
i don’t even know if i’m worth anything
-
debbie harry is such an incredible vocalist i’m actually shook
-
also we went to broadway to see riverdance perform and my GOSH THEY ARE INCREDIBLE, i got major goosebumps and my vocal cords literally gave out cud i was screaming so much for my favorite performers lol
-
i loved downtown & brooklyn, bro they’re so funny
-
i find it so amazing how you can tell a story with even things as simple as dancing, art takes form in literally everything
-
it was so impressive too, they had drummers and percussionists who were going so fast their arms looked like they were spazzing out, and really impressive violinists and saxophone and flute players, and also amazing vocalists of course
-
i find it crazy how easy these things are for talented (not talented, but extremely skilled because talent doesn’t really exist) people after they get to a certain point in their career
-
i was studying deborah harry’s isolated vocals and something really cool i’ve found is that she doesn’t sing it as hard as she seems to be singing it in the song. it’s all about dynamics, you can portray emotions in vocals by smoothing the dynamics. she is so INCREDIBLE dude omg, i love listening to her, freddie mercury, and elvis presley, all were legends when portraying emotion in music with dynamics. literally air benders
so my takeaway is dynamics are KEY. gentler is somber, creepy, eerie, sadder, confused, honestly it can be any emotion but it’s usually a key lyric in the song and influences people more deeply
louder can also be key, but it has to be used in the right way. if you’re loud, that’s not going to portray sadness, it’s going to be portraying anger or rage or even terror because you’re basically screaming
