theres been rumors from congresspeople that charlie kirk is going to be laid in honor in the US Capitol

i dont think that should happen. Hot take, but most of us didn't know who he was just a week ago. He didn't do monumental things for our country until after he died, so he shouldn't be laid in the US Capitol like he was a political hero

He was actually a pretty famous debator. that is if your deep into that stuff

I think the point is that he had the courage to exercise his right to free speech.

he was definitely an important debator, but idk, i just think that kind of honor should be left to people who were ACTUAL politicians. idk im especially iffy on it due to the fact that there's been 2 democratic politicians (a Minnesota representative as well as her husband and a senator as well as his wife) shot as well. I feel like if we're going to honor him with mass media and the US Capitol, then we should honor those 4 people as well, but i've heard relatively nothing about those 4

like his murder is 100% important, but those 4 murders are equally as important (imo), and should be treated with the same amount of respect (especially the same amount of respect from the PRESIDENT)
but again i dont really care as long as the family's wishes are respected -

i just got a letter from oregon university about how prestigious and nice it is and how i should apply
i dont live in oregon. i've never even looked at a oregon uni website, and i was never interested in their college before getting this letter
