I'm so confused about my variance rn
they sent my parents an email saying I got accepted and then another one saying I got rejected. Make up your mind before you send the emails lmao -
now we gotta call the school tomorrow and check to see if I got accepted or not bc miXeD meSSaGeS

I'm not that sad about it tbh, I'm more just upset that it took so much confusion to figure that out
Like they made me go from the counseling center to my email to my parents email to calling them t h r e e times just to be told "Yeah we didn't want you" -
Not going to be online much tomorrow. I'll be online in the morning and at night but not during the day at all

The writing convention was really good this year
They changed the style of it so that there are 5 authors giving advice for 5 different things each hour, and if none of those things interest you, you can go to the big room full of merch and art and books and 3D printed stuff -
and at the beginning, lunch, and end they have everyone file into the stage room where they have a super big famous author (like for example Dhonielle Clayton or Jeff Kiney) give a big speech about whatever they feel is most important for an author to know, and they gave out free books and stuff like that

There was a lot of cool artwork too, it was really fun (I got a ton of arcane stuff (*cough* Jinx and Isha paintings *cough*), a crocheted shark stuffie, a s--- ton of stickers, spiderverse artwork, and pins)
then at the end they had all the authors in one room and they could sign your books and merch -
one of my guilty pleasures is reading 1 star reviews for Hammer of Thor and Trials of Apollo and seeing how predictable they all are

And then seeing responses from non bigoted people on the reviews calling the reviewer out for being jerks in the most snarky ways. It's such a weird emotional rollercoaster to willingly go on and I kinda love it

Hopefully I'll get some homework done tomorrow, maybe I'll turn in that job application if I have time -
