my best friend and her girlfriend drove to my house and we just kinda yapped for 2 hours
her girlfriend is the nicest person on the planet and also very oblivious to the drama of our life before her, so we were spilling all the tea from elementary and junior high while she sat there listening -
she told us we should have a podcast purely about our drama. not sure if that's a good thing or not lol
our lives were just crazy back then. They were like if How I Met Your Mother and Heartstopper had a baby. Just chaos after chaos unleashed -
color coded and chaptered my entire AP Psych notebook

went to a convention today and I'm going to it again tomorrow

it's a pretty good convention. I've been going since it was smaller event. I kinda miss the smaller event, since it felt more intimate and personal, with a lot more giveaway events. Now it's this big event that's still fun, but definitely more crowded

the convention was EPIC yesterday!!
Got a bunch of merch, an ASL book, and WAY too many stickers -
Plus I got a free crocheted dragon (INSANE bc usually it's 50 bucks) and a free book because the author "liked my vibe"

AND I got to meet Cass Beihn, the author of Vesuvius, and that book has been HAUNTING my tbr on goodreads, so it was insane to meet the author!

had a productive convo/debate about ICE with some of my extended family
All of them had some very valid points, and I'm glad I was able to have a productive conversation instead of getting shut down every time I tried to talk. -
I think ICE as a whole just needs to be reformed. The concept- deporting illegal immigrants- isn't a bad one (feel free to debate with me if you disagree), but it's become a system so void of empathy for the immigrants and people affected, and has become so brutal, racist, and cruel, that it helps absolutely no one. Some of that is because of media bias, absolutely, but I do believe that some of that, if not the majority is the people involved in ICE, plain and simple.
