High School ICE walkouts and protests made national news today
Proud of the kids who protested these issues with such peacefulness. As far as I've heard there was no harmful retaliation from cops or peers yet, unlike many other protests that have happened previously, and I'm glad it appears that no one got hurt -
there were dozens of ICE protests happening today, all across states, but I'm especially proud of the High Schoolers that have protested bc they're my generation, and my peers.
The current protests I'm following are the Utah ones bc of the sheer amount of High Schools that participated, so my data on harmful retaliation may not be super accurate :) -
wow, I'm actually quite surprised that kids in Utah protested it, since the state is so republican and from what I have seen pretty pro-trump too. not to mention their parents, either. But lots of people in Utah have a great sense of community and/or religious,so they definitely have a lot of compassion for others.

Hey, sorry I didn't see this until later
Utah is very republican (and mostly voted for Trump) due to religious and family values, but it has pretty high queer and hispanic populations, so it's sort of this melting pot for political ideas, especially with younger people learning their own ethics and identity. Religion also probably plays a huge part in the compassion and community aspect. -
There were plenty of other mostly republican places with high amounts of protesters too, like Arizona and Texas. Pretty cool :)

I'm not much of a Bad Bunny fan but his music is genuinely so fire. I don't understand Spanish, but his music genuinely gets me in the flowstate (i hate myself for saying that, but it's the best word to describe it) -
I have so much respect for that man. Admittedly I want to like him more than I actually do, but I do really like his music

And she's begging me to substitute for her class this semester (I was job shadowing her teacher last semester) but obviously I can't

My ASL teacher is so strict sometimes and it all just depends on who she likes

like girl please just help me with deadlines sometimes. I'm sorry I missed the duedate by ONE DAY but do you really need to dock 10% of the assignments grade for that??
