and idm chatgpt so much as I do the things people use it for
like my brother uses it to run physics and finance simulations and I think it's pretty interesting. I've started using it to play around with social experiments and possible solutions for the environment (yes, I get the irony lol) -
don't get me wrong, I'm not a supporter of AI use 90% of the time, but it's downright crucial for most aspects of science like genetics. The use of AI in genetics, psychology, and chemistry (etc) could be revolutionary and save lives. I don't understand why we're giving the power of AI to the common man instead of focusing on specializing AI for the people who need it to better the world

reading the Survivor Wants to Die at the end
it's ok. I like it, but it's definitely the worst out of the series so far -
but Orion and Deidre made a cameo in it, therefore it is the greatest story God has ever allowed to be published
-
hot take this story should've been about Deidre instead of Paz. I don't like Paz all that much so far, but Deidre is my favorite human being on gods green earth, so her being the mc would've killed me
especially since the storyline would've been the exact same (at least as far as I know) -
I love Adam Silvera, but his dialogue has gotten worse the older he's gotten. It's like he's no longer in the mind of a teenager, so he can't write like one. Because of that, I wish he'd move on to older characters like Dalma, or Deidre since their dialogue is still very distinct
-
It's still a solid book, maybe a 4/5 so far. Not nearly as bad as the reviews on goodreads makes it seem.
Truly I don't understand why people hate it so much. Like yeah, it's long, but that's honestly the editors fault, not his. -
I've heard people complain about the BPD representation, but from what I know, none of the people complaining about it have BPD, and Adam Silvera DOES, so whatever.
TLDR if you like the other 2 books, read it. It's a long read, but it's not half bad. Avoid it if you're having a depressive episode, and content warnings are at the beginning of the book, but if you read The First to Die at the End, you'll be fine for most of it
