What's upsetting you about college courses, if I may ask?
Ignore the people who pick on you. I love changing my username on Discord to fit my mood. I also change my avatar often, as I sometimes associate certain icons to incidents that have happened and they make me sad. If you'd like to do something, do it. Don't let someone stop you. -

I wanted to start out with veterinarian, but my mom says I can't do that with the way things are, so then I took to my second love--videogames, but she says videogames won't support me for life, so no game programming. But I'm not interested in the typical office work and I'm not good at mathy-sciency stuff. So, I don't know what to do.
Most likely, I'll end up taking a career I don't want. -
Do you like to write? Perhaps you can go for some kind of an English degree. English degrees offer a lot of lovely jobs, like being an editor, journalist, teacher, etc.
I think you should really try to talk to her about the veterinarian job. That is a job that you can live off of well, and it's a job that needs more workers, from my understanding. Maybe you can compromise with her and major in one degree but minor in another? -
The thing is, I have to have hands-on clinical hours, and if this pandemic doesn't clear up, I won't be able to go out and do the clinical hours for veterinarian. That's why she said no.
I do write, but it's not something I'd make a living off of. It'd be a side career. -
The pandemic will most certainly clear up. The only question is whether or not it will be over by this fall, or if it will continue into 2021. :(
Fair enough. I'm hoping to be an editor, because I like to read other people's work and help them make edits to really finalize their stuff. It's fun and relaxing for some reason. -
