No, that IS incredibly hurtful. And you should be just as offended as you are now. It's wrong what they did, even more so than whatever you did to provoke them. No matter how mad you make someone, they should NEVER misgender you. That is disrespectful, immature and extremely petty. Plus it's quite transphobic to do. I'm sorry this happened to you, but just know that I still see you as male.
