learned that the hard way. Now my hair is a mix of brown and red. wow.

don't worry, just last weekend i tried red highlights for my short hair. the highlights were so thick that it looked like my while head was red and there were just brown blotches Herr and there and it looked so ugly. i had to dye my hair back brown and now its just some sort of weird burgundy lol so you're not alone
