Thread Topic: -Unpopular Opinions-

This is where I'm going to post all of my unpopular opinions.
Opinion One
Subject- Mods
Having mods on this website is almost useless. Sure, it does help sometimes to have a user with a fancy label above their post to prove how superior they are to mark the spam and try and get rid of unwanted trolls, but at the end of the day they're mostly useless. Most of them are almost never on. Okay, I get it. They have lives to live, too, but shouldn't there be at least one on to control this place? I'm not sure how many moderators there are in total, but it seems like there should be at least one on! I feel like most of the mods just want the title and the feeling of being more powerful. I realize that's not true for all of them, but that's what it feels like when there is none here to do their job. As soon as one comes on, they get mad at us for complaining they weren't on by saying, "Why didn't you just mark their posts themselves?" Maybe because we don't have as much power as you because apparently you guys are worth having it?? I don't even know anymore. All I know is that it's ridiculous and worthless. We have to figure something out because this is getting old. -
thank you bby

I'm always on, unless my cell died like it did this morning. There's a reason why I've been begging for more moderators because I'm one of the only users frequently getting on; only two other moderators come on a once-a-day basis, the rest have all posted on the private forum they're on hiatus or they've left. It's literally only about five of the original nine (ten, including Pine)

(continue tho)

I am not here on a once a day basis. I check back here frequently every day, and have disclosed several means of contacting me privately for the express purpose of being able to get here quickly.

Opinion Two
Subject- Using your heritage for the reason why you do something wrong.
Now that is ridiculous. Let's say someone says, "Oh, I'm sorry for being loud, I'm part German." Even as a joke, it makes no sense. No, you're not loud because you happen to be part German. It mean's you're just f---ing loud. Or, "I drink or get into fist fights because five generations back, someone in my family is Irish!" No, John, it's not because one of your dead family members was Irish, it's because you're a douchebag. Doesn't matter where your family is from, they're probably douchebags too. Another example would be this: "I'm African-American and I am getting into fights because I'm African-American." Now, it would make sense if these fights were caused by discrimination, but if it's you just wanting to clock someone, that is not an excuse. No, Hank, f--- you and your excuses. Your heritage has nothing to do with the reason you gave that kid a concussion. -
Opinion Three
Subject- Having Sex With A Trans Person
I completely do not think trans people need to disclose they are trans before having sex with someone. If they've reached the point in transition where you cant tell they're trans without them telling you, why do they need to? It's in the past. If someone was born with a cleft lip and had that surgically corrected would you expect them to tell you that before you had a one night stand with them? No. So why is this different? Someone's past is not relevant to the sex you have with them and it won't affect you one way or another. Later finding out something you might think is icky about someone you've slept with is NOT comparable to rape, I can't believe there are people who say if a trans person doesn't say they're trans before having sex with someone, its rape because they're misleading their partner. Give me a break. I mean yeah, it's one thing if they LIE and say "No, I'm not trans." if you've outright asked them (still not RAPE though), but that's so unlikely to come up and they shouldn't just be expected to bring it up out of the blue. -
*WARNING: MAY BE TRIGGERING. Don't risk your mental health to read some s--- post I'm making.
Opinion Four
Subject- Society and Suicide
I wish society as a whole would make a decision on whether suicide is a tragedy at all or if they are just "in a better place." Why is it a tragedy when someone does it, but at the same time a blessing when another does it? You can't in good conscience heap all sorts of praise on someone for taking a f---ton of pills for "finally being a peace", but then turn around and rant about how we need to work together to try harder and stop suicide. -
Incest can make some pretty f---ed up babies man. Literally having a child with your sister say for example will result in the child suffering. The parents don't want that and the child doesn't either.
-
Then again, there are also many people who know that they're children are going to be pretty f---ed up due to things that run in the family but we still allow them to have kids.
-
For once I actually felt like reading huge walls of text. Can we have more people who think like this?
-
Okay, no. I just lost it when you put the trigger warning. No one is going to get triggered.
-
Your two words which did no one any harm and existed out of consideration for other people triggered her stupidity.
-
I just want to make sure because I don't want to be s---ty and let someone read something that might be triggering. Not everyone is triggered by the same thing. :I
-
I don't like that term, maybe because sometimes people use it way too much and it's usually a topic that won't even trigger anyone.
How did it trigger my stupidity? Because the term is honestly ridiculous?
