  so I'm honestly lost on this problem (I'm an idiot don't be surprised)
  
  James and Beth are saving money for laptops. Larry has 210$ and can save 35$ per week. Beth has 390$ and can save 20$ per week. At what point do they have the same amount?
  If it costs 850$, how many weeks will each one have?

  For the first part of the problem add each until they're the same
  
  then for the second take the amount for laptop, and subtract their currently savings from it, then divide the remaining number by the dollars they get each week to get how many weeks it'll take.
