maybe she could be a shinigami or a homunculi
but the shinigami wikipedia confuses me, all i know is that shinigami are death gods and invite humans towards death, do you know anything more about shinigami so i could portray it right if i choose to make her one? -
What about a jiang-si?

I'm not too knowledgeable about Shinigami, unfortunately, as there are many accounts with not a whole lot of info.
My two Shinigami OCs, though, Pavia and Pavane, used to be human until they committed suicide. They were given somewhat a second chance at life by a God of Plagues/Death. They serve him and collect souls when a person's time comes. -
but then she would give off the wrong vibe i think
jiang-si are dressed like stuff from the qing dynasty, and a dynasty's like royalty right ;-; making her look like royalty may be mary sue-ish -
Not all jiang-si
Most just wear dumpling-bowl-looking hats and the same attire as every other jiang-si

maybe she could be a young woman from japan who was assassinated, and a god of death made her a shinigami and she serves him (would that be copying off of you????????) but then she wanted to take revenge off of her murderer and she's a little coo-coo because she's blinded with revenge and so she also likes to haunt people??? would that be good -
Nah not copying, since it's assassination instead of suicide. And anyway I wouldn't mind if you did copy a bit.^^
