Ouch! I can't seem to reach all the way to the thickest string of my bass guitar. I can play it but I strain too much. Do you wish you had your fingers longer or shorter sometimes?

I want to learn piano and guitar, so longer.

I can do piano. But I strain to much to make my hand wrap around the bass guitar and make my index finger reach the thickest string. It hurts after a few minutes, too.

My hands are small so I have to really reach to play my bass. It also really presses into my fingers, which hurts.

YES! I have to curve my hand into an abnormal position so that I can reach that one string but it hurts! Even after playing for like 5 minutes, I feel like I have been playing for 3 hours!
Ouch. It does hurt! Which is why I am switching to the ukulele bass guitar. ^-^ It's perfect for my fingers and it has rubber strings. They sound so cool!
