(I didn't mean to push Enter oops.) But here it is:
The clouds have opened,
Down they pour,
I didn't know they did that anymore!
Who knew the sky still actually sent down rain?
For weeks there's been no rain at all,
Why live in Oregon if no rain will fall,
Finally the sky's opening up its gates,
There'll be actual real-life raindrops
It'll be somewhat strange,
But wow, am I so ready for this change!
Because for the first time in forever,
We're actually getting rain!
For the first time in forever,
This summer heat won't cause us pain!
Don't know if I'm overreacting,
But I'm just so happy now!
Cause for the first time in forever,
The grass won't be brown.
I can't wait to see it turn green again!
...and I gave up from there....
Lame, I know. But I whipped it up in two minutes, you can't really blame me. I promsie you that my poetry is normally MUCH better than this. -
