Thread Topic: Can someone look at my new drawing in The Workshop?
-
I just posted one a few minutes ago in my art thread. Feel free to
stalklook. -
So to clarify, you want attention but no critiques?
-
I'm your stalker....of course I've seen it. -
I really want to say something, but I don't want to cause trouble. owoThe art was beautiful. Omf. I love the girl with the ginger hair. -
Lucky: You could critique it.~
Kiersten: Thank you bby.
Batman:That kind of gives me the creepy jeepies. -
Kiersten:
No you can say it if you want -
oh well. I stalk many people. They just don't know it. Shhhhhh -
Batman:
tell me who on Kik -
but, but. I like my stalkerettes to not know -
When Lucky said that you wanted attention and no critiques, I wanted to tell her that that's what starts pitty fights and drama. There, I said it. -
I don't understand, Kiersten. It's not the critiquing that starts drama, it's the people who can't accept critiquing who whine and start drama. And plus, Anime just said that we can critique the work.
And that's what I'm gonna do now. The really sketch-like hat sort of looks two dementional and not like it's actually on her head, just stuck there like a sticker. The shoulders look weird, but I can't quite put my finger on it. The left arm is waaay too long. The right hand curving on the right hip looks unnatural. I tried doing it myself and could not do so without my hand hurting a little bit. And... I think that's it. There was one more thing that I was going to point out, but that particular thing can happen in some situations. Otherwise, I like the drawing. The choice of colors, or lack thereof, is pleasing. I like her facial expression and her sunglasses. Good job. I'd give it a 6.8 out of 10. -
Batman:
tell me now hissss
Kiersten:I concur, honestly.
Brownie: BECAUSE THE DRAWING IS TWO-DIMENSIONAL, YOU MORON. -
See? This is a prime example, Kiersten, of the artist overreacting to a critique. I was respectful about it too, telling her what I liked and disliked about the drawing, and never insulted her or the drawing in any way. I was just a little firm at the most. Some artists can be too sensitive, you know?
-
There's another side of it. When people take critiques the wrong way and take it as "offensive" instead of helpful, they whine and cry about it. That's not what you're supposed to do. Take it as a helful suggestion or something like that, and move on with your life. It's not worth whining and crying about.
