Thread Topic: The RP account registry is filling up with stupidity.
-
The format for character registration is covered in the first two posts. Kindly follow it.
And if you're not sure whether a character is taken, don't register it with a note saying you're not sure if the character is taken. Read the thread. That's literally the whole purpose of it. The latest character registrations all f---ed up on one of these two points and it's cluttered with that s--- now. -
How do you even use it?
-
stupidity...?
you mean the overflow of creepypasta accounts? -
^She means the fact that they aren't following the format.
-
Hold on. I'll explain in a bit. I'm on my phone and walking to work, so it'll take a bit.
No, I mean the failure to follow the format which is making it ugly and confusing to anyone who wants to just quickly skim through and look for a character, and the people trying to register characters that already exist. Not to mention the many conversational and instructional sideposts, which, while necessary, are still a nuisance. -
haha, no, i get what you meant, i was just joking on behalf of my hatred for the creepypasta fanbase.

Can you delete the first post on the 1,000th page of Meep's thread, please?

pls

Now I'll explain the thread a bit.
We are referring to the RP Account Registry thread in the Stage. The purpose of the thread is to lay claim to the rights to be solely considered the official roleplayer of any given pre-existing character. The rules are as follows:
1. The roleplay account cannot be used for anything but roleplaying the named character. It must be separate from your primary account.
2. It must be the oldest rp account for that character unless the official roleplayer has relinquished control of the character willingly.
3. Any attempts at intentionally duplicating the character should be corrected/ignored.
4. No "every character in ____" accounts. Accounts roleplaying two or three characters who canonically spend a lot of their time together are acceptable, but no one account may control the entire cast of anything.
When registering an account, all you have to do is post in the thread following this format:
Full Known Name of the Character in Regular Text Source of Character or Whatever They Came From in Italics
One line. No extrenuous information. No parentheses unless they're part of the name. -
Oh okay, thanks.
-
Thank you for checking.

What if I wanted to make accounts for BBC's Merlin?
I tried to make one for Arthur, and found this existing account. It's never been used, and I'm not sure if it was meant to be a BBC Merlin account, but still.
Could I make one for Arthur, or no? -
It's never posted or registered itself, so go ahead.
-
Yeeee
-
I'm at work now. To whoever it may concern, I'll be back in a few hours.
