Thread Topic: Punctuation and Grammar.
-
Dappleheart NewbieWe all need to learn to use proper punctuation and grammar. Some people on here have atrocious spelling, no offence.
-
Thank you for saying that! My mother was an English teacher, so I've learned to use perfect grammar and spelling and punctuation and writing, and how to type properly.
-
You spelt offense wrong.
-
Dappleheart NewbieA perfect story must have good spellings, if it does not, then it won't be a very good book, would it?
-
Actually, offense can be spelled either as offence or offense.
Dapple: No, it wouldn't. -
Ah, I should have done my research. My apologies, then.
-
We all mess up every now and then. It's okay.
-
Dappleheart NewbieI am from England, so we spell words differently from how Americans spell them.
-
Oh, you are! Well, that explains a few things.
-
I use the European English spelling for certain words and the American English spelling for others. It's all dependent on how it looks to me.
-
Dappleheart NewbieOk.
-
Yeah. It's weird how you can stare at a simple word too long and you start to question if that is really the right spelling.
