That's extremely dull. I used to do the same, it didn't accomplish anything. Now I do it involuntarily. My light doesn't work anymore.

Okay think of this. You're in the dark and you bump into something large. Ot then proceeds to howl and scream. Wouldn't you want light so that you can see it?
