Sounds like that episode in The Simpsons where the parents did the exact same thing. I'm not defending her, I would be mad too but maybe she wanted a break on her own.

My mum used to say she wanted a break from me and it really hurt my feelings ;~;

It is messed up!
All my mother is is selfish. She doesn't just pull things like this. She's missed school events because she'd rather sleep. When I was on my period once and ran out of pads and tampons, my mom yelled at me because she would rather sleep and buy some more. She smacks me when I say something about my possible attraction to girls, or that I'm doubting god. She yells at me over stupid things, like accidentally spilling something or asking to use the bathroom while she's doing her makeup in there. Yeah, she takes care of me. But she doesn't do it as much as she does my dad with cancer. My dad has cancer and she still fights with him, despite the fact that yelling can cause you to have an aneurysm. She makes my dad cook and clean too. She's lazy. And she only cares about herself. I understand why my dad wants to divorce her. -

Yes. I love my dad. I love him very much. If he dies, I really hope my mom doesn't get custody of me.
