Thread Topic: a thought from Cody.
-
If someone were to travel back in time and ago themselves from being born and existing, won't that mean that they would never have been able to go back in time in the first place? But then, would they still travel back and try to stop their existence?
Is this not a paradox situation? Please give your thoughts. -
Okay that just hurts my head.
-
someone would have to go back in time in the first time to prevent their birth before they disappear.
-
Hicc- I know.
Absol~hmm. I see. -
of course, my solution to the question is based off the "multiple dimension" theory, in which there are multiple separate dimensions with different results for each moment in time based on the variables given.
or maybe I just made that theory up myself. ^-^' -
Basically, what one does while in the past would not affect the dimension that they are from, but, In a way, create a new dimension in which they are not there. But, In the one they are from they would still be there. Is this what you mean or something else?
-
yep, you've basically got the idea.
-
Okay, it is possible. As I say, there are few impossibilities in this world.
-
mm hm.
-
-
But htere is a compication here, what if you can only go back in time to the day you were born and no further?
-
Yet another good thing to consider. Of you could only do that, then the possibility of you going and stopping your birth ends. Then, though you could still kill yourself, yet again causing the podible paradox.
-
True
-
Mhmm.
-
Any other thoughts?
