It's not you that caused the heartbreak. Not really at least. It was more of the loss of something I've never had before being snatched from my hands. I'm not much of a romantic but what we had was different. I've never wanted that before but now it seems as though I need it. The holding hands, the few sweet kisses on the cheek; they all meant more than you will ever know. You never knew but you were the first. You were the first person I've dated in high school, the first person I've held hands with, and the first person I've wanted to last? You're also the first person to break me. You completely shattered me to pieces. And I cannot bring myself to hate you for it. I just keep listening to "You Ain't Worth the Whiskey" and eating popcorn in bed. So maybe it is you I miss. I haven't really figured that part out yet.
