Like, you'll be sitting there, and suddenly you can't hear anything but a ring that lasts for 1-10 seconds and it goes away on its own?

My mom says that it's your ear adjusting.

When I hear it the ringing goes on for about a minute or two. Or ten if I listenend to music.

It's the sound of hairs dying in your ear. So Imve been told by a science teacher in middle school.

It is usually caused by over-exposure to loud noises for too long,too often.Like listening to music too loud which I'm guilty of and yes i do get ringing in my ears -

Technically there's been warnings about listening to music too loud for a long time.
