And I really hate how it came with all of the updates and stuff. Everything looks different and it's so weird. I was perfectly fine with having the one iOS before the iOS 8, or whatever. And why the heck is it suggesting words for me above my keyboard?

You can turn that off in Settings. I have the 5c, too

Oh, that word suggestion thing...happens to me on my phone, too. Maybe you click on it so that it types out the rest of the word for you and you don't have to type as much I guess?

I have an iPod 4... *walks to the corner of boringness*
But personally, I prefer iOS 6 over iOS 7 or 8. Which is why I didn't have a problem with the fact that the iPod 4 can't update to iOS 7. The only thing I don't like is that most of the games on the App Store are for iOS 7 and above. It's hard to get new games. -
My phone always suggest words on the top of my screen. It also corrects me if I misspell a word.
