I got past the prologue and then got to the stories and they said buy the story to play.

Yeah I really don't know and I'm confused so I got rid of the app sadly. It looked interesting.

Yeah. It was one that was free. I Downloaded the Ninja Assassin + one, but dunno if I'll have to pay.

Everything that says '______ +' is free. And good. But ones without it aren't necessarily free depending on the company.
