Sorry, sorry, took too long and now you're gone. Had to have some help finding this. I thought this was ignorant and insensitive, and although it probably meant nothing at all to you, it pissed me off to no end when you called my Si "kid".
Also your equating agnosticism to incompetence. -
I accept that those can be aggravating. As I've said before, "kid" isn't meant to be derogatory. It's a term I use for just about everyone. Agnosticism by it's root words is calling yourself incompetent. In a world of + or -, you can't choose to be in between. It simply doesn't work that way. Reasons for claiming that are either you're too lazy to make your mind up, or you feel you're under-qualified to make your own decision. That's the entire basis for my argument on agnosticism. And the orientations thing I still stand by. With more information presenting itself, the one orientation that bugs me the most is demisexual, but that's a debate for another time.
College takes a lot out of you kid, also I'm old and need my beauty rest. I used to be an adventurer like you, until my GPA dropped below 2.5 and I lost $3,000 in grant money.

It sounds condescending as hell, regardless of how you meant it.
It'd call it more along the lines of not taking a side for a lack of evidence. No one can prove that there's a god, but we can't prove there's not until we die and nothing happens.
It's not like I expected you to change your views. I'm just letting you know that I disagree with you.
In spite of these things, I respect you. That would be the point.
