If they are going to be in a relationship, just be friends with your crush. Don't be bitter and angry at it, just feel happy they did notice you or at least the thought of them made you happy, and you guy's can be best friends!
Anyways, the popular girl probably is just doing that because she is intimated by you and very jealous that you guy's flirt together or you are flirting with him. I would say, just don't worry about it. If they really aren't in a relationship, then you can still go ahead with your flirting and stuff. But, who knows? It's to better say don't butt yourself into incoherent drama over a guy that you think is cute, funny, and handsome! -
