How do I set up this problem as an equation that I can solve?
Two thirds of a number reduced by 11 is equal to four more than the number. Find the number.
At first I thought the set up was 2/3n - 11 = 4 + n but I can't get the correct answer.. -
PLEASE
-
Ummmm I probably would've done the same thing you did.
I just did the problem in my head in like 2 seconds and got -45 but I'm half asleep. :P -
Does -45 work on BOTH sides, though?
2/3 times -45 - 11 is equal to -45 + 4? -
Well I'm too lazy to test it but n - 2/3n equals 1/3n and -11 -4 equals -15, then when it's dived by 1/3 you get -45.
So it probably works. -
I just checked and they both equal -41.

Really? SO WE DID DO IT RIGHT
OMG
THANK YOU -
No problem.
I'm in love with math. -
Wanna help me with one more problem? I just need help setting it up. >:O
-
Sure. :D

thank you though ;; -
You're welcome. :)
