Ah, yes, I'm going to be joining in on the contests trend. However, this one is going to be pretty fun for anyone of any talent, so I hope that everyone checks this out.
The object of this contest will be for you to create the scariest, bloodiest, or creepiest creation* that's Halloween themed*. (*Note: It doesn't have to be Halloween themed, but that is the easiest route.) (*It doesn't have to be creepy/scary. It can be cute and bloody, such as a chibi with a bloody sword- you never know what I'll like.) There will be four ways for you to win.
Rules
1. No using copyrighted material. Unless it's a fan made thing (Such as an OC that's from Naruto's world), using a costume (info on that later), or reading/reenacting something (info on that later) you CANNOT use something made by someone else. I will check and you will be disqualified if that happens.
2. It has to be your own work. Yes, you can ask for help or ideas, but you can't ask someone else to make it for you.
3. You may use references for your entries.
4. Please keep the blood and gore realistic and possibly PG-13 rating. As much as I have a sick sense of humor, we wouldn't want to scare the kiddies, would we?
5. No more than four entries allowed.
Writing
If you prefer writing, you can test your knowledge of scary things by writing a play (script) or story. There will be no limit to how big or lengthy it is. It MUST be over five lines (if play or script) or one paragraph (if story). To enter a play or story, you can post it in the entry thread or post it in the Library and link it to the entry thread.
Art
If you prefer drawing, you can submit a drawing of anything that you find scary. Perhaps a spider that eats cats is to your liking, or perhaps you like drawing zombies that look cute but are holding an eyeball. There is no limit to your imagination. To enter a drawing, you can post it in the entry thread or you can post it in the Workshop and link it to the entry thread.
Video Taping
If you prefer to act things out, you can video tape you and your friends doing something or wearing something scary. The maximum time limit is fifteen minutes. To enter a video, post it in the entry thread.
Voice Recording
If you prefer to read or say things with your own voice, you can use a software or app to record you saying/reading something scary. The maximum time limit is twenty minutes. To enter a recording, you can post it in the entry thread or in another forum and link it to the entry thread.
Now, what kind of a sick person would I be not to have wonderful prizes?
First Place will receive three hand drawn demons, links to a smaller version of the demons to use as a profile picture, a long story with any pairing written by me, and a video with my critiques and comments (AKA Shutout).
Second Place will receive two hand drawn demons, links to a smaller version of the demon to use as a profile picture, a short story with any pairing written by me, and a video with my critiques and comments (AKA Shout out).
Third Place will receive one hand drawn demon, a link to a smaller version of the demon to use as a profile picture, and a video with my critiques and comments (AKA Shout out).
NOTICE: If more people join, I can add more prizes.
The deadline is July 20th. You can post last minute entries on July 20th, but no later. Winners will be announced on July 21st. -
