I don't know how much it'll help you, but mix some warm- preferably a bit hot- water with honey and lemon juice, and drink it.

Don't think I have lemon juice. I tried cough syrup but that didn't help

Mm, you may have got what i have got a year or so ago. I was coughing for at least 5-7 months straight, but it wore off eventually. Best thing to do it just survive it.

Yes, they said i had something i cant remember, and they're advice was useless. Tea, lemons, cough drops, everything was useless. It just took time.

I am suffering from throat infection and today was my singing examination and in spite of the painful conditions, I had to keep on singing....it was so..... -
Not painful at all, just a lot of coughing. It was just annoying, really.
Oh, that sucks. Sorry for the troubles you had to deal with. :( -
