Besides, the embarrassment of getting blood in the pool isn't worth swimming. Wear flip flops and shorts and put your lower legs in if you really want to.

Yeah, it seems like pads in water would totally fail.

They're meant to be absorbent, and since they're external... they'd soak up more water than blood.

It's not, really. If you get blood in the pool and anyone notices they'll most likely clean out the entire thing.

Try using a tampon tonight. You don't have to leave it in, just try before you go to bed and then take it out and put on a pad again.
