In this day and age, yes, money does equate to happiness. These days, you're limited to your childhood, and that's when you can be happy. If your family has the money to take care of you. Once you get older, it's over. You have to worry about money, taxes, your job. Nothing's ever good again once you grow up. Nothing's ever carefree and easy anymore.
-
Ain't that the truth.
The whole money thing is just a vicious geometric shape where all points are equidistant from the center. -
"Smiles" and "love" aren't going to end world hunger.
-
I don't know what most of that meant Appa, but I'm sure you're right. :I
Exactly. -
The only actual way to make the world a better place is through money. There are hospitals being built in poor countries, people being fed. It all boils down to money.
-
I think we could just ditch money and make sure everyone gets what they need. According to my history teacher, that's call Communism. :I

How did that even happen? -__-

I am a strong believer that money doesnt bring you happiness. You all are just greedy bafoons

"I think we could just ditch money and make sure everyone gets what they need."
Exactly. The only reason money is worth so much is because we place such an importance on it. It has value.
But in a world where everything is owned in common, there is no need for money. No need to trade arbitrary bits of stuff for what you need. -
I have very mixed views on communism.
I have one thing to say....
Need is a very strong word.
That is all I have to say *exits* -
Or maybe you're a nave moron. If you can't see that the concept that money isn't necessary for happiness is s---, don't even bother speaking to me.
I think that'd be really nice. I think it'd be nice knowing that people weren't starving because they can't afford food, or dying because they can't afford a f---ing surgery to save their own lives. -
*naive

We're not being greedy. We're saying that in the current system, you need money to survive and still be a functioning member of society. I don't think you need it to be happy- but it certainly helps, after all most of us are happy when we're not starving.
