UnLoving NewbieMy best friend is cutting herself with scissors :'( I'm texting her so I can't do anything right now except tell the school counsler in the morning...but how do I make her stop??? :'(
-
DON'T, I repeat, DO NOT tell the counsiler. The best you can do is avoid saying anything positive, tell her things like "Wow, your situation is tough and I understand why you cut.", and let her know you're always there to listen and talk. *bows* G'luck.
-
There's usually a reason as to why she's cutting. She told you because she wants you to help her stop because she can't stop herself. The only thing I can suggest is to tell your health teacher or counselor as soon as you can, so they can help.

D: I dunno,be there for her..hugs n' stuff? Let her know you care and share stories about tough times? Friends couldn't help me stop that habbit >.> I had to help myself.Maybe your friend needs to do the same..or I dunno.__. just don't ignore this problem.

UnLoving NewbieOMFG false alarm she didn't even cut herself -_-
This is why texting sucks. She scared the crap out of me. But thanks guys :) -
Wait. What exactly did she say (or text)?
-
UnLoving NewbieEr never mind...I guess she's threatening to kill herself now
Dude I HAVE to tell the counsler I'm not going to let her harm herself -
Ask her why she's being suicidal.
-
Err....maybe she just needs you to text something comforting I guess? IDK.
-
UnLoving NewbieHer: I just cut myself
Me: Not on purpose, right??!!
Her: With scissors. On purpose.
Me: WHY?? Are you ok?? What happened?
Her: No my brother just scared me while I was holding scissors
Me: OMG don't do that you scared me so bad
Her: Okay I'll just kill myself
Me: WHAT NO WHY??? -
UnLoving NewbieOops...I wasn't very comforting I kind of just panicked But...OMG SHE IS SCARING ME I DONT WANT TO LOSE HER
BRB in like an hour -
UnLoving NewbieOk I'm back. She went to bed.
But what do I say to her tomorrow? -
Wait for her to bring it up. But tell the health teacher or counselor.
-
