pokemon: the deleted version.
it was a normal day for me. i hanged out at school, didn't do homework, got in trouble with my annoying art teacher, the usual.when i got home, i put up my stuff and grabbed a 20$ bill. today was the release of pokemon emerald, and i couldn't wait to get it. on first day, they gave discounts on pokemon games, which really pumped me up. i went to the game store, and gave the store clerk the 20$. he offered me a beta version of the game, which i excitedly accepted. who wouldn't want a discounted game with an EXTRA discount? anyhow, i went home and opened the game. the title was scratched off, and the game wasn't the expected green. instead, it was a purple and blue-black mix. i just supposed the game was supposed to be a bit different, seeing as it was the beta version. i put the game in my console, and begin playing. the opening screen was like usual, but i noticed that the pupils in the pokemons eyes were gone, leaving the eyes plain white. i shrugged it off, seeing that it was a glitch in the game and didn't affect the game play. the start screen showed a absol instead of a rayquaza. the absols eyes were pupil-less just like the others. also, i noticed that the game title didn't say emerald, but instead:
pokemon

i stare at the game for about 5 minutes, thinking about the title. when i stop thinking, i press start. then, the usual sapphire and ruby music plays, calming me down a bit. i see birch, the pokemon professor. his pupils were there, also. the normal commercial into was there, in addition to the fact that everything else seemed to be in tact. then, came character sex selection came. the only option was: "???" which didn't even give a picture of who i was. i pressed A, continuing on to naming him. i also couldn't name him, seeing as when the typing screen came, the name, "absol" was there. when i tried to delete the name, it wouldn't do anything. when trying to add on to the name, a absols cry came in addition to the fact the selected letter wouldn't show up. i just got mad and continued. then, the game showed me in the moving van, but instead, i was a absol sprite instead of the usual two boy or girl selectables. there was no background music and no sound effects. finally, i'm allowed to move. when i enter outside, the lavender town music plays. not the usual lavender town music, but instead the one removed from the games due to severe headaches. im suddenly scared because of my previously unmentioned health issues. -
