Thread Topic: Happy Earth Day!

I just got back from school. I made a bunch of poems about the Earth in literacy class, and I got to make M&M cookies (with Blue and Green M&M's, the two main colors of Earth. If you don't know what I mean, Green represents land and Blue represents water.) The cookies were so delicious! Then we had to measure the cookie (Height, Width, etc.), which was pretty boring ._., but then we played a game of "Across the world", where one person starts and they go against each other to name the parts of the Earth. I'm not sure how to explain it, so here's a diagram.
"Blank percent of water covers the surface of the Earth."
*student taps stool*
"Yes, what is the answer?"
"70 percent of water covers the surface of the Earth."
"Correct."
The student who taps the stool first and answers correctly moves on and the defeated student sits down, unable to move or continue. If the person who moves on once is defeated, then they sit down, unable to continue, and the other person moves on. The person who makes it the farthest, beating the most students wins the game and gets a piece of candy.
So that was my day at school. How was your guys' day? Did you do an Earth Day activities at school? -
I forgot it was earth day.
-
^ You forgot? Wow. About everyone forgets, LSW. xD
-
I planted a tree in my backyard, by myself, like I do in every house I've lived in, every damn year.
-
How lovely, a tree! :3
What kind of tree is it? (And I assume you've lived in a bunch of houses, Heph?) -
I do this stuff every day, or at least when I'm not ridiculously busy.
-
Three houses, but I stayed with my sisters some years too, so maybe like five or six.
Maple. -
That's nice. Helping the Earth is good. :3
Ah, I see.
Maple trees are lovely.
