I go back into my house. I run upstairs and grab everything I need. I go back outside. -

I stand and wait outside my house. I noticed I was becoming slightly weaker. -
(You get hurt?)
I look around, feeling bored and hungry.
(I gtg.) -
I turn to see Mara coming back. I try to get as much blood off my clothes as I can, trying to conceal what happened.

I nod silently, not mentioning I kicked the front door off it's hinges. "A-after you." I say.

After we get inside, I press a button that puts metal barriers in front of every entry area. I pick up the broken door and throw it at some shamblers coming towards the house.

"You could say I got attacked." I say, sitting at the table. I place my hands on the table, then my head on my hands.

"You got everything you need?" I ask. I sit up in the chair.

"Alright, I'll be right back." I say, pushing in the chair. I walk up the stairs and go into the room I was in before. I pick up a photo..

I recognize the whole force crew on the photo. Some of my best friends were in it. Now, they were most likely dead or handicapped. I frown, and blink a bit before noticing my eyes were now crimson red. I look in the mirror again, and see two things. I see a normal, scared human, but at the same time, I see a monster. Weird, I think. I have not turned into one of them. I gather a few things, including a few knives, my dog tags, and a few guns, with ammo.

I grab my steel toed boots and put them on. I grab my supplies and come down the stairs. I go into the living room, throw my backpack onto the couch, and plop down onto the couch.

"Um, like what?" I open my eyes slightly.
