And then she yelled at me saying that I was getting ridiculous and that I need to stop being so possessive over the volume.

She's the ridiculous one. A parent should never hit their kids.

It was on the leg but it still stings. We were in the car. And when I was little she smacked me across the face because I yelled at my sister.

Still she shouldn't do that. And it's normal for kids to yell. She's being unreasonable.

Try telling her that. I was about to yell back at her that she doesn't understand, but she probably would've hit me again.

It might help so you get out your entire side without her yelling at you or hitting.

She came into my room and told me that I need to stop getting so bent out of shape because of it and I told her that I probably have OCD and I asked if she's ever seen me walk down the stairs without me hitting the ceiling and then the wall. And without me turning the volume on an even number or getting up in the morning on an even time. And how I always unplug the toaster and make sure that the dishwasher and trash can are closed. And she told me that I just have little quirky things and I need to stop labeling everything. And stop turning the volume on an even number, that it's just a number. And I told her that that's what it does, and she just walked away.
