Katie rolled her eyes. "Who did Chiron give permission to come?" Five hands shot up into the air. "And how many of you just came along for the ride?" A dozen demigod hands were raised. "I came to support you, Katie honey!" Travis Stoll grinned. Kattie smiled and blushed. "If I remember correctly, Travis, you were one of original five who were chosen." A second white van pulled up. "Miss Gardener, Miss Grace, if you would please join us in here." Chiron poked his head out of the sliding door. "It seems we have...newcomers. Three, in fact." I froze. Three new demigods? In one day? I brushed it off. "Okay, Chiron." I took Jake's hand, and pulled him over to the second van. "We'll be in here."

PGZ2018 NewbieI was pulled out of the van and put in another one. I sat down next to Hannah. I said "Where are we going?".

I grinned. "Camp Half-Blood. It's an awesome place. You'll love, I'm sure. Even for mortals, it's a fun place to be." Chiron cleared his throat, and I stopped talking. "So, Annabeth has returned from searching for Percy, from Queen Hera's vision." I leaned forward. Percy was legend at Camp. He and Annabeth started dating on his sixteenth birthday, right after the Titan War. "Did she find him? Was he there?" I frowned. "How long was I gone?"

Chiron glanced nervously at Katie, then back at me. "Only a few days, Hannah, but that isn't the point. The point is, where were you?" I froze. "Um...here, in Manhattan, surprisingly. I didn't get a good look at the building, but I sort of created a huge forest out of a room." Katie giggled a little. "What did Mom say about overusing your powers?" She teased. I smiled. "Well, I had to convince Jake of my identity." I rolled my eyes, but gave him a playful nudge. "He sort of fainted." Chiron focused his gaze on Jake. "Where are you from, young man?" He asked quietly.

Chiron nodded. "Parentage? Have you always lived in Canada? Where were you born? How-" I help up my hands. "Chiron, please. Don't interrogate him. We barely escaped with our lives!"

"Chiron, let's not start this right now." I looked out the window. I could see the first cabins appearing behind the trees. I also saw a few pairs of glowing red eyes, but it might just be a few monsters to make Capture the Flag more interesting. "Jake, look out the window and tell me what you see." Katie demanded.

Chiron smiled. "Distractions, for our game of Capture the Flag tonight. It makes the game a lot more...fun, right girls?" Katie and I exchanged glanced. "Very," we agreed. "What else?" Katie pressed.

I rolled my eyes. "One more thing, at least. Do you see any cabins, a bug, red house, a huge fire pit, anything that doesn't look like it belongs in New York?"
