Thread Topic: RP, anyone?

I'd really like to try this one again, seeing as I've made great progress on the novel and I'm just in literal love with the concept. If you don't want to do it, that's totally fine. Just for anyone who wants to do it: Good grammar is required; and you must be okay with homosexual relationships.
So, basically Fault Line. Yeah, that RP that died around March of last year. I kind of want to try it again and see if it can't last. c: Here's the copy/paste of the prompt I wrote way back when, with some added revisions:
This takes place in the World War III era after the so called 'apocalypse'. The major powers of the world have now declared war against one another for the last remaining resources including food, water, and usable land. The two main characters, Alden and his love interest, are separated after Visas are no longer accepted and wide ranged drafts for different armies begin. The demands for military personnel are rising greatly, and because of it Alden is forced to return to Britain and fight for their army. His love, likewise, is drafted into the US army. The RP follows their relationship throughout the war as they communicate through letters and brief phone calls. Along with being apart, the two must deal with the other soldiers and their respective sides taunting, harassing, and teasing, not to mention the fact that thousands are dying on the battlefield every day. Minor details can be specified within the actual RP.
I tried this before with several people and it was very hard to get on at the same time altogether, so I'd like to limit this to two people. :3 So, how about it? -

Should I start? -
Yes please~

Okie dokie. ^^
The day that Alden's Visa had expired -- indefinitely as such -- was quite possibly one of the worst days of his existence. It meant separation, by many miles, from the love of his life, Ontario. What made matters worse was that he would not be returning to a life of just sorrow and emptiness, but a life of bullets, bombs, landmines, explosives, and nuclear weapons. Oh, yes, the nation-wide drafts had begun, and Alden was one of the ever so lucky many who were selected to join the military -- effective immediately.
For the last few months, the blonde man had been safely stationed towards the north of England, merely working on strategy and inventory. He was one of the few soldiers fortunate enough to work in the human services department, rationing the last of the nation's food for thousands of hungry people. It was heartbreaking to view their sorrows, but it was much safer than being thrust out onto the battle field.
He'd been communicating with Ontario through letters ever since his leave about three months prior. Every day, every second, seemed to drag on for centuries without him. Today, however, fear was most certainly struck in Alden's heart in a way he never thought imaginable before. He had about 20 minutes before they'd board the jeep and make their way to the south side of London, where the battles -- haunting, menacing, and bloody -- were taking place. For the first time ever, he'd have to kill others with a gun, a weapon he'd never utilized before. He pulled out his yellow military notepad and a pen, quickly scrawling a message that could very well be his last goodbye.
Dearest Ontario,
They've transferred us to the warzone. I don't have a lot of time to write this, but please know that I'm so very, very sorry. There's not a second that I don't think of you and how everything used to be... So happy, so carefree, so magnificent. I long for the day when I might be able to see you again, to hold you, to be held... To simply feel whole once more.
I know that now that day might never come. I've never used a gun in my life, not a semi-automatic, and the fact that I've no choice but to enter the frontline bloody scares me to death. I love you. Now that I think of it, I realize that though I told you almost every moment, every second... I never truly said it enough. But now, in this dire situation, I can only say it as much as time can permit.
I love you, I love you, I love you.
I wish things could be simpler. Oh, how I wish we could be together... Just once more before my dying day. Dearest Ontario... I'm sorry. So, so very sorry for what I've done to hurt you. It wasn't my intention to leave, just as it was never my intention to join the war. Yet here I am, legal pad in hand, in a race against time... My time. Our time.
This might be our last goodbye, love. I hate to think of it that way, but I can't possibly deny it. The battle is horrid, bleak, bloody awful... Men are dying by the thousands; the other forces are relentless.
Remember the way we used to laugh together, stare up at the stars and point out that one sole star; that one that shined just ever so brighter than all the rest? When you look at that star... Know that I'm looking back. I will always, always love you, Ontario. Always.
Yours,
Alden -
CrazyMonkey NewbieOntario as in a small black jeep, with many other soliders and with a gun in hand. Oh how he thought so much about Alden and how they were seperated. Ontario had tried to send him a letter earlier that morning, and he wondering if the letter have even gone through. It had been a couple of days since Ontario had gotten a letter from his dearest Alden. He took out a pen and paper, and decided to write to Alden agian just in case the first letter never made it through.
My Alden,
Oh how I miss you. Every moment I think about you and only you. This might be my last letter until I go into the horrible war we have been brought upon us. I wrote a long letter earlier this morning but I'm not very sure that it went through. Oh my love, how I miss you so. I love you so much, and I am hoping that you will always remember that for as long as you and I are fighting through the war. I love you, I love you, I love you my dearest. Never forget that.
Love,
Ontario. -
Sorry I'm so late xD
I looked out the window of the small black jeep and wondered how Alden was doing. Was he hurt? Has he even got their yet? I was hoping to get a letter from him soon. I had sent him a long letter but I didn't think it went through. -
Alden sealed the letter into an envelope and tagged it with a high priority label before slinging his pack and rifle over his shoulder. He put it into the mail center near the main building of the base. If it went through, the letter would get to Ontario by the day after next.
He ran his fingers over the folded sheets of paper that were tucked in his waistband, folded lengthwise so they rested just above his heart. With a shaky breath and a whispered prayer, Alden boarded the army jeep along with his company. The ride seemed to last two minutes; he wanted to turn back as soon as they'd set off. About an hour later, he found himself at another base. He could hear gunfire and explosions littering the atmosphere a distance away, providing white noise that made his stomach churn.
Well, this was it... The battle. He wanted so desperately to run, to never look back... That would be considered treason, which was punishable by death. He had two choices -- run and die, or stay and die. If only the outcomes could be more favorable. -
It's totally fine. ^^

I kept riding in the small jeep while it began to rain some. The rain set the mood perfectly. Horrible and sad. None of the soilders in the jeep looked at each other but didn't say one word.

Alden had no choice but to proceed with the rest of his company to the site of the battle. As the gunshots grew closer, he felt sick to his stomach. What had he done to deserve such turmoil, such a dismal death?
No, no... You mustn't think like that, he thought as he readied his gun for fire. You're going to make it through and see Ontario again. You have to.
And with that, they were in the battle field, under all sorts of fire and attack. Alden fire relentless, immediately taking down a handful of men; one shot each. It took all of his will power to keep from dropping to his knees and sobbing... He'd just killed men; innocent men who had families and children, wives and loved ones... All they were fighting for was the right to live. This war sickened the young Brit to the core.
