We were both outside giving the dogs food and water and it's below freezing too so she told me "Give them new water because theirs is frozen and I'll give them food." so I started breaking the ice with a hammer and she saw me and said "Wait nevermind the water in the hose is frozen too just give them water tomorrow" she then gave me the food so I could feed them and walked inside. ._.

Even if you did break the ice with the hammer, wouldn't it still be ice, just in tinier pieces?
