"Wait, wait! We don't even know each others name! I'll start. Austin Clane the Awesome!" I joke, and give a prince bow. -
I roll my eyes, even though they have a spark of amusement in them. "Calypso. You don't need me last name. I need your trust before I give you that."

(Since it is the 1980s, let's pretend we have all the stuff today. iPhones, we don't have to dress fancy, and the singers now because I'd do a pretty bad job at trying to make my character act how they should act in the 1980s)

"No worries, Jack Frost! I'm 13 years old, go to Grissom Middle School, have one older sister, one older brother, and my birthday is July 18th." I don't know why I said all that, but I trusted her.

"It started leaking radiation, and people stopped working. In July, the plant exploded and killed everyone. Except me. But I bear scars of it. I flipped my heir. This is one of them. I couldn't live in a house because radiation is trapped in there." -
The Jack Frost comment made my smile. "Middle school... where? Not kn this town, surely."

I noticed Calypso smiled. It was kinda cute. "Pretty far from here. I have to freaking wake up really early!"

I nodded. "Well, a nuclear power plant exploding would do that. I bet the next town over received some radiation." I looked up at the sky. "It's getting late, won't your folks be worried?"

I checked the time on my phone. "Freak! Mom's gonna kill me!" I exclaimed. I probably looked stupid.

"Freak? Whatever... anyway, come back after school if you can." I tossed a few strawberries to Austin. "I can help you with your homework. I was a top student at Walker." I say, with he same sharp tone, but my eyes give away my longing for my high school.

"Sure, see ya!" I yell, running towards my bike. I bike as fast as possible and got home pretty late. My Mom was mad but I told her a made a friends. I thought she wouldn't buy it with the empty town and all, but she did. My thoughts were stuck on Calypso and then turned to Alex and Justine, my siblings. Both of them were in high school, so maybe they knew about Calypso.
