Directions:
Create a children's story about plate tectonics. This can include, earthquakes, volcanoes, shifting plates, tsunamis, or any combination of these. Your target audience is 3rd graders, as they are going to read your stories in their class. They will be the judges as to the quality of your book.
Your book must be:
'Creative non-fiction'
At least 20 pages
Scientifically accurate
Colorful
Awesome
Most importantly, interesting to third graders. If your book is bad, they'll cry and tell you it's bad.
Ok so basically, I need help coming up with a plot. I can't kill anyone either. I'm like drawing a blank and I need to have this done by the time break is over. Help? Please? -
There's a new volcano in Hawaii. It is bound to explode unless a few kids can find a way to move the plates back so the volcano dissapears.

There was a big earthquake and it created a tsunami and now a group of kids have to find a way to stop it before it creates even more destruction

How about two third graders travel around different parts of the world to explore plate tectonics? xP sounds lame, but in certain parts of the world they see natural disasters common there. I.E. in Hawaii volcanoes, Japan tsunamis, etc.
