1- (apple earbuds) twisted too much and wires stopped working
2- all had little buds separate that I lost
3- dropped my iPad and the plug got bent
Those are all the earbuds I've had and they all broke. I have one pair for my iPad and one for my iPod now and I hope they'll do okay. -

@Meg I think I'm good now since I don't use my iPod alone a lot and my others stay in my iPad (I'm just going to be really careful)

Yes, take caution. You don't want to kill another pair of earbuds. Watch out for the walls. I tend to run into them a lot....
