^ZOMG, THANK YOU. YOU SERIOUSLY TOOK THE WORDS OUT OF MY HEAD. sometimes rap is unnecessary, yet they still throw it in and ruin a perfectly good song.

Probably because they wanted to add in another genre to a song. It's kind of like unity. Like... People say there's music for white people. And people say there's music for black people. So they combined it.
Some people take it as a racial thing, so I mean. -

I agree a bit. A song could be amazing, then there is a rap and it gets downgraded in my mind. For me, the song Dark Horse was like that. Maybe it's just because I'm a bit sick of rapping.

Well, rap is a thing now in this generation. Most youths listen to it, that's why they do that. Especially if it's a party song.

And another reason, is because a artist are friends with.. Most of the others. So they collab on a song together.
