Elemental Love part 4

Hey guys! Welcome to part 4 of "Elemental Love"! Sorry it took so long. I've been busy. Plus school is starting so I haven't had a lot of time on my hands. I don't know when I'll be able to get the next one out since school started and I can only work on it on the weekends. I'll try not to make the wait to long. Just bear with me.

So we left off where the king of darkness is in your dream. He asked you to be his queen and you said no. So he's burning your wrist and your screaming.

  1. What is your age?
  2. What is your gender?
  1. *The guys* Regan was in the kitchen making breakfast, Sean was watching TV, Tim was getting dressed, Randy was asleep. They all heard the thunk of you hitting the wall. Sean and Regan went to the bottom of the stairs. Regan was holding the frying pan and Sean had the TV remote. Tim and Randy came out of their rooms. Randy had a pillow and a large stick and Tim had a baseball bat. When you started screaming the guys ran to your room. They burst in to see you pinned against the wall. When they burst into the room, you woke up from your dream. You took one look at them and then crumpled to the floor. Sean lurched forward and caught you. He sat crossed legged on the floor and eased you onto his lap. Tears were pouring down your face. He wrapped his arms around you protectively, while the other guys searched the room for intruders. When they didn’t find any they came back to you and sat in a circle around you. “_______, what happened?” Sean asked. “There’s no one here but you were screaming,” Regan said. “He was in my dream,” you sobbed. “He was there. He was so real.” “Who was in your dream? Who was so real?” Tim asked. You looked at them through your tears. “The king of darkness,” you gasped. “He’s back, he really is back. He’s even more dangerous this time. He couldn’t do that last time.” “Wait, what do you mean last time?” Randy asked. “He wants me to be his queen,” you said avoiding the question. “He doesn’t just need me, he wants me.” “Well he’s gone now,” Sean said stroking your hair and rocking you. You took a few deep breaths and then you got up from Sean’s lap. The guys followed your lead. You wiped away your tears and then took a good look at the guys. They were holding their weapons again. You smiled and said “Really Randy, a pillow?” “Hey,” he said defending himself. “I had a stick.” “Oh that makes it much better,” you laughed. You then went and kissed each one of them on the cheek. “Thanks for coming to save me guys.” “You’re welcome,” they said. You then shooed them out. “I have to take a shower now. I’ll be down in a few minutes.”
  2. *Twenty minutes later* You went downstairs and picked up the hallway phone. You called your boss and told him you wouldn’t be coming in that day because you weren’t feeling good. It wasn’t a totally lie. You had a headache. You went into the kitchen and helped Regan bring the food into the dining room. You guys ate your breakfast in silence. Near the end Tim spoke up. “Hey _______, this morning when we were in your room I heard you say something I didn’t understand.” “What was it?” you asked absently, munching on your piece of toast. “You said ‘He’s even more dangerous this time. He couldn’t do that last time.’” You stiffened. “How did you know what he could do last time?” Just then the doorbell rang. You jumped up. “I’ll get it,” you said thankful for getting away from the topic. You hurried to the door and opened it. On the step was Rob. “Rob! You said surprised. “Why are you here? And more importantly how did you find this place?” “Oh uh, that’s a long story. Can I come in?” “Sure.” You stepped back and let him in. “Shouldn’t you be at work?” you asked him. “Shouldn’t you?” he countered. You shook your head. “I called in sick today.” “You don’t look sick.” “Not true. I’ve got a killer headache. Well we’re just finishing breakfast so please come and join us.” He shrugged and said “Sure.” He followed you to the dining room. “Guys Rob is here,” you announced as you walked in. They said hi as you two sat down. “So Rob why are you here?” “Well I talked to B.W. and asked if it were okay if I was one of your protectors.” You stared at him. “You want to be one of my protectors?” He nodded. “If the king of darkness is after my best friend I want to help make sure he doesn’t get to you.” “Oh, well that’s really thoughtful of you and I’m totally fine with it. If that’s okay with you guys, I don’t mind having you as one my protectors.” You looked at them. “Do you mind?” They looked at each other and then shook their heads. “No, we don’t mind. It’d be nice to have help to keep you under control. Even better that he’s known you for a long time,” Regan said. You scowled at them. “Okay great, then great to have you onboard Rob. Well guys we’d better get started with your training. Rob if you want to watch that’s fine.” “Will you train me too?” Rob asked. “Sure.” You started to get up but what Tim said stopped you. “You never answered my question.”
  3. “What was your question?” Rob asked. “I asked her what she meant by ‘He’s even more dangerous this time. He couldn’t do that last time.’” “When did she say that?” “This morning when we found her pinned against the wall, screaming,” Randy answered. Rob’s eyes got wide and he looked at you. “What happened this morning?” he asked you. “The king of Darkness got into my dream. He pinned me against the wall and asked me to be his queen. When I refused he burned my wrists. But what was happing to me in the dream was happening in real life. But I only felt the pain. Nothing was left behind.” You held up your wrists to show him. He sat back in his chair, stunned. He was still looking at you. “He didn’t do that last time. Your right, he is stronger,” whispered. “What are you two talking about!?” Sean exclaimed. “We know that he’s back but how do you know he’s stronger?” Reagan asked. “Well you see w-“ Rob started to say but you cut him off. “No!” “What?!” he asked. “They don’t need to know.” “Yes they do. This is information that will help them, us protect you,” Rob exclaimed standing up. “It won’t do anything to help you guys.” You were both on your feet now. “How do you know that? It might help.” “It won’t and I know it because that is the past. This is now.” “The past can be helpful.” “Uh we’re still here,” Tim said. You ignored him. “It’s history.” “Isn’t history helpful? Why else would we take history classes?” “So we can know what it was like back then.” “But don’t we learn from the past?” Rob shouted. “No! The only thing history is good for is to remind us of what happened.” You shouted back. “Well I think this is a pretty good time to be reminded!” “No! The information is not necessary!” “Well what happens if he does something that happened last time and they don’t know about it?!” “When I’m done with you guys, you’ll be ready for anything!” You stood there glaring at each other across the table. “Well they’ll need to know some time. When you tell them, I’ll leave that up to you.” Rob said. He then turned and walked out to the backyard. You scooped up dishes and carried them to the kitchen. You and the guys cleared the table and headed out to the backyard. You found Rob stretching. “Kay boys let’s start with a 2 mile run and then stretch out. Oh and I want the 2 mile run in under 20 minutes.” They all stared at you. “Are you kidding me?” Sean asked. “Is that even possible?” Tim asked. “I did it,” you said. “Get going. I’ll be timing you. When you get back here is when I’ll stop your time.” They looked at you for another minute, and then started their run. Throughout the day you trained them in self-defense. When you broke for lunch you took your sandwich and wandered off to sit alone. You sat down in your spot and thought. You thought long and hard as you ate your lunch. When you finished lunch you had come to a very hard decision. You strode back over to where the guys were practicing the latest move you taught them.
  4. When you and the guys finished training the guys dragged themselves inside and plopped onto the couch. You went into the kitchen and made dinner. You made enchiladas the way your grandmother taught you. When you ready to serve you called the guys into the kitchen. “Guys! Dinner is ready!” They filed in and took a deep breath. “Mmmm, that smells good _______. What are we having?” Sean asked. “My grandmothers’ famous enchiladas. Now grab a plate and line up.” They did as they were told. When you made sure that they had their fill, you made yours. You sat down just as the guys were finishing theirs. “So how is it?” you asked. “Oh so good,” Tim complemented you. “Delicious,” Randy said. “It has the perfect amount of spice,” Rob said. Regan and Sean gave you a thumbs up because their mouths full. You grinned and dug into yours. After dinner the guys went to the game room to play some games. You decided to take a night time swim in the lake. You went and changed into your swimsuit and headed out. On your way out you passed Tim on the way to his room. “Hey _______, where ya going?” he asked. “I’m going to swim in the lake. You wanna come?” you offered. “Sure, let go change.” “Kay I’ll be downstairs.” When he changed and came downstairs you too headed out the lake. When you got there you threw your towel over a branch and climbed up a boulder. When you got to the top you backed up a little bit and then took a running leap into the water. You landed right next to Tim. “Hey watch it!” he shouted laughing. “Sorry” you laughed. You dove under the water and found you could open your eyes without it hurting. When you poped back up Tim was gone. You spun around looking for him. You scanned the surface watching for bubbles or ripples that’ll tell you where he is. Suddenly something exploded out of the water behind you. You screamed and spun around. You saw Tim laughing and swimming away from you. “Hey!” you shouted swimming towards him. “Hay it for horses,” he called back. You caught up to him quickly and you dunked him under the water. When you let him come back up he splashed you. You two then got into a full blown splash war laughing the whole time.
  5. *1 hour later* You and Tim were lying on your towels looking up at the stars. He had his arm around you and was pointing constellations out to you. “This has been really fun,” you told him moving a little closer to him. “Yeah it has. I’m glad I got a little alone time with you.” “Me too.” You sat in silence for a minute. “Tim?” “Yeah ______?” “Do that the king of darkness will ever be destroyed?” He didn’t answer for a while. “I don’t know,” he finally said. “It’s possible.” You sat in silence again. “Do you ever wish that you had your old life back? You know before we knew about the gods and the Elements.” He took a while to answer. “Sometimes. I only really want my child hood back. When I hit 14, my mom and dad divorced. My dad started to make some bad choices and he ended up in jail. My mom started dating this loser who hated me. When she agreed to marry him, something in me snapped. I started getting in trouble in school. I gave up on my friends and joined a gang. We ruled the town. Everyone was scared of us. Even my mom was scared of me. When they wanted me to rob a convince store, that little voice in my head that I been ignoring screamed at me to not to do it. I said I wouldn’t do it and they beat me. I ran and went home and gathered some of my things. I then took off. I didn’t care where I was going, I just wanted to go. The first night I left home I was mugged. After that I wandered the streets for a month, not talking to anyone. People got to know me and left food on their doorsteps. About a month after I ditched the gang I was walking the street when I met up with the gang. They cornered me and the leader challenged me. I didn’t want trouble so I kept my head down and didn’t reply. When he pushed me I attacked him. We hadn’t been fighting for more than a minute when we were pulled off each other. I started off away from the gang when these two guys grabbed me and hauled me around the corner. They pinned me against the wall and asked me a bunch of questions. I was fighting them the whole time, but they were stronger than me. I finally gave in and answered their questions. They took me here and a few days later I got a visit from B.W. He explained everything to me and gave me my powers. And now here I am with you.” You didn’t say anything. “I’m sorry,” you finally said. He just shrugged. “You guys are making me feel guilty,” you exclaimed sitting up. “What do you mean?” Tim asked you also sitting up. “I mean you guys have such horrible back rounds. You all ran away from home or lost your parents. At least you, Regan and Randy did. I don’t know about Sean. I grew up in a wonderful family. I was protected and loved. I was given a wonderful life and you guys suffered. I always had food and shelter and a home to go to.” You looked at him. “It seems like you guys grew up living on the streets. That’s no way to grow up.” “But if we hadn’t gone through that, we would of never met each other. We wouldn’t have gotten our powers and be assigned to be your protectors. Which means we would of never met you. If we didn’t go through that we would of never found our family.” You gave him a confused look. He put his arm around you again. “I have a mother, a father, five brothers and two sisters.” “Two?” “You are like a sister to me,” he explained. “I can also be more than a sister,” you told him. He smiled and you two started to lean into each other.
  6. You and Tim’s lips were a millimeter from each other when suddenly you hear “Hey guys! I found them!” You and Tim jerk away from each other and scramble to your feet. You see the other guys racing toward you with Rob in the lead. You figured he was the one who shouted. You sighed and said “You guys sure do know how to ruin a moment.” You and Tim picked up your towels and walked down the beach to meet the other. There was about 3 yards between you and the guys when you were blown backward. You landed on your back and had the wind knocked out of you. You lay there gasping and you could hear Tim doing the same beside you. When you got your breath back you struggled to sit up. You looked at the spot where smoke was clearing. You couldn’t see the others through it. You and Tim stood up still taking deep breaths of air. When the smoke cleared you saw a figure standing there. It turned and started walking toward you and Tim. Tim pushed you behind him both of you watching the figure. As the figure got closer you thought you recognized the face. Finally the figure spoke. “You know I thought that I’d never find you again. You basically dropped off the face of the Earth. When I asked your parents where you were they didn’t know. I’m glad I found you.” The figure sifted its gaze from you to Tim. “You not so much,” it said. “Wait a second,” you said stepping out from behind Tim. “I know that voice.” The figure smiled. “Uncle Bobby?” you asked excited. “What’s up buttercup?” Bobby said opening his arms. You laughed and ran into them. Tim got a confused face. The other guys ran up. “Uncle Bobby!” Rob shouted. “Hey, Rob. Wow you got a lot taller.” They did the brother hug. “And stronger.Been workin’ out?” “Little bit,” Rob replied shrugging his shoulders. “Who’s this?” Sean asked. “Guys this is our Uncle Bobby. Well he’s not really our uncle. He’s really warrior from the palace. He got me back in shape and trained Rob and our other friends when we were there a while back.” I explained. “He’s basically family,” Rob added. “Uncle Bobby this is Regan, Sean, Randy and Tim. They’re my protectors. Oh and Rob is one too.” The guys shook hands with him. “Come on let’s go inside. I’m freezing,” you said. Bobby put an arm around your shoulders and you all went back to the house.
  7. When you got back to the house you and Tim went upstairs to change. When you changed into something comfortable you went back downstairs. Tim was already down there, talking with the others. You sat down next to Bobby and asked “So Uncle Bobby, why are you here?” “I was just getting to that,” he told you. “I found out that the king of darkness is back and wanted to make sure that you were okay. I didn’t know that you had protectors.” You nodded. “I wasn’t happy about it when I found out,” you said. Sean snorted. You raised an eyebrow at him. “Not happy? Try enraged. "She told the Gods off and fought with them,” he said. “She really didn’t want us,” Regan sighed. “You should have seen her when we told her she had to come with us,” Randy stated. “She shot an arrow at us, then fought us; trapping us in a cage of our opposite Element,” Tim said. “Alright, I kicked your guys butts and then fought for staying independent,” you laughed. Bobby smiled and said “Well you’re getting along well with each other now.” “And I’m training them. With their Elements and self-defense,” you stated. Bobby raised his eyebrows. “Really? Well good for you, _______.” “Thank you. Oh that reminds me of a question I wanted to ask you. Are you going to be staying long? Because if you are I wouldn’t mind having a little constructive criticism on my teaching skills.” “Well I wasn’t planning on staying long. I just wanted to pop in and see how you were. But I could stay until lunch tormorow,” Bobby replied. “Thank you Uncle Bobby!” you said happily. “But right now I’m going to bed.” You stood up. “Goodnight Uncle Bobby. I’m glad you’re here. Night guys.” As you left the room everyone called goodnights to you. You were just about to enter your room when Tim stopped you. “______!” You turned to face him leaning on your door. “Yeah?” you asked. “I think we have some unfinished business,” he said with a mischievous smile. He leaned in and kissed you. You kissed him back loving the moment. When he pulled back he smiled. “That was wonderful,” he sighed. “Goodnight.” You nodded and smiled as you entered your room. You closed the door, leaning on; fingering your lips where you can still feel Tim’s kiss.
  8. The next morning you woke up early and got dressed. You sighed as you walked downstairs, sad about what you had to do. When you entered the kitchen and found Rob drinking orange juice. “Morning Rob,” you said. “Morning _____. Why up so early?” “I could ask you the same thing.” He shrugged “Force of habit. I told my boss the other day that I was taking my vacation days. Which since I have not used since I got the job happens to be 6 months.” You nodded biting into an apple. “Well since you’re up will, you drive me to work? I have to quit.” “What why?” “Well between you guys wanting to stay near me and me training you I have no time for work.” “Oh I’m sorry.” You shrugged. “When do you want to leave?” “Now. I’ll leave the others a note.” You put your apple down and quickly jotted a note to the guys. You put on the counter where they’d see it for sure. Then you bite into your apple and followed Rob to the car.
  9. When you got there you told Rob to just wait in the car. You wouldn’t be long. You walked in and went to Mr. Cross’s office. You knocked on the door and he called “Come in!” You entered and closed the door behind you. “Good morning Mr. Cross,” you said walking to the desk. He smiled at you. “Good morning _______. Are you feeling better?” “Yes I am. May I talk to you?” “Of course. Please sit.” You sat in one of the big comfy chairs. “What did you need?” Mr. Cross asked, leaning forward and bracing his elbows on the desk, lacing his fingers together. You sifted nervously. “I’m resining. Or I guess you could say that I’m quitting.” His face fell. “What. Why?” “I have a lot going on right now and I just can’t fit my job into it right now.” “Oh well I’m very sorry to hear that. You are one of my best workers. You work hard to get the job done and you like doing it.” You looked at your lap. He sighed. “Well, let’s say that you’re resining. I like it better than quitting. But you can have your job back when you get your life sorted out.” You looked up surprised. “Really?” you asked, excited. He nodded. “You won’t have to start at the bottom like you did when I first hired you. You can have your position that you have now. You’ll be the archery instructor. You’ll run the front desk and you can have your locker back too.” “Wow. You really mean it? I can have everything back?” He nodded. “There will always be a job for you here.” “Oh my gosh! Thank you Mr. Cross! You’re the best.” “Just go gather your stuff and get your life sorted out.” “I can’t thank you enough Mr. Cross. I promise I’ll be back!” you said running out of the room. You went and got your arrows you shot on the range yesterday and your stuff from your locker. You went back to the car and you and Rob went back home.
  10. When you got home you two found the guys already running with Bobby watching them. You raised your eyebrows. “Wow they got up early today. Well you better get your running done,” you told Rob. He jogged off and you walked over to Bobby. “Hey Uncle Bobby,” you greeted him. “Good morning. You are training a bunch of guys who have a lot of potential.” You nodded. “Well, will you train them this morning?” He nodded. “I’ll train them.” You grinned. “Great. Well I’m going to go run so I’ll be ready. I’m joining them this time.” He laughed. “You haven’t changed a bit. Never afraid to do hard work.” You laughed and jogged off. Bobby taught you and the guys until lunch. When you went in for lunch, you hugged Bobby good bye. When he was gone you and the others sat down to a quick lunch. You got back into training them after lunch. At the end of training you all went upstairs to take a shower. While you were in the shower you started thinking that training these guys alone is kind of hard. You deiced to call your sister, to ask for help later. When you finished your shower you got dressed in some comfortable clothes. You quickly ran a brush through your hair and pulled it back. You then followed your nose to the kitchen where Randy was making dinner.
  11. “What ya making?” you asked. “Spaghetti,” he answered. “My own secret recipe.” “I didn’t know you like to cook,” you said. “Yeah I love it. I’m usually the one who makes all the meals in this house.” You laughed. “Well you’re a much better cook than I am, but I do have my own recipes.” “I’m sure they’ll be delicious,” he said over his shoulder. “Well can I do anything?” you asked wanting to be helpful. “Sure, can you make the salad please?” “Okay, Sir Chef.” He laughed at your nickname for him. You quickly finished the salad and put it on the table. You set the table trying to stay out of Randy’s way. You had the place mats, the plates and the napkins on the table and you headed back to the kitchen for the silverware. You walked in the door and ran smack into Randy. Luckily he wasn’t carrying anything, but you both fell. You both started apologize as he helped you to your feet. You looked at him and you both stopped apologizing at the same time and burst out laughing. When you recovered you got the silverware and put it on the table. You went back into the kitchen and helped Randy carry the rest of the food to the table. You then called the others and sat down to dinner.
  12. After dinner you went to the library to read your book. Before you knew it you were asleep. You woke up in your own bed and realized that one of the guys must have carried you to your room after you fell asleep. You showered and went downstairs. You headed toward the kitchen when you heard voices coming from it. You stopped and realized that the guys beat you up today. You were about to go in when something stopped you. “We should tell her,” you heard Tim say. “It’ll just freak her out,” Rob said. You knew that it was wrong to eavesdrop. You knew you should go in there and let them know you’re up, but you were intrigued. “She’ll think that we’re childish; fighting over her like this,” Regan said. You pressed your hand over your mouth to smother any sound you made. “Well I agree with Tim. I think we should tell her and let her decide,” Sean said. “No she has enough presser on her already. She doesn’t need something else on her mind right now,” Randy said. The other mumbled in agreement. “Well, we’ll have to tell her sometime,” Tim said. “We’ll tell her later,” Rob said. The talking stopped and you figured that they agreed with Rob. You heard footsteps coming toward the door. You panicked and fire traveled to the backyard making it look like you’ve been there a while. You skipped breakfast. What you heard made you lose your appetite.
  13. You didn’t say much as the guys came out to the backyard. You nodded a hello then pretended to be very busy in perfecting a move you learned from Bobby. The guys jogged off to do their run and once they were far enough away you studied them. ‘They all like me,’ you thought. ‘I like them too, but who do I like the most?’ You shook your head and said “Don’t think about that right now.” Just then the ground in front of you exploded and you were thrown backward. You hit the side of the house and fell to the ground. You saw stars and about three figures standing in front of you. You blinked and struggled to stand, but a searing pain pushed you to the ground. You screamed from the pain and heard the figures laugh…
  14. That’s where I’ll leave you guys! Sorry it took so long to get out. See what happens next in part 5! Please comment! I love to hear what you guys have to say.
