Our "When Will I Die" Quiz?

  1. "April, I have to go. Sorry, but it's important!" I started power walking away when I heard April call out behind me, "Okay, bye!" Mr. Irvine? Could it be my biology teacher? I had to find Christofer. Christofer or Alex. I stood there and glanced around and to my surprise found Christofer and Alex sitting there at a table laughing. What did I tell them about becoming best friends? My goodness. I power walked ever faster and then it turned into a jog. Breathing heavy, I ran to the table and slammed my bag down. "We have a suspect," I said. "For what?" Alex asked. "When I was attacked in the car, the guy had an orange tattoo and just now April told me that Mr. Irvine has a tattoo of an orange tiger. Coincidence? I think not."
  2. Christofer smiled. "Sorry to burst your bubble, Nancy, but I already know who it is. I was going to tell you in French but I guess you decided to come here instead." "What do you mean you know who it is?" I asked, frustrated. "After we...after I left, I was confronted by a group of seniors who thought it would be funny to play a prank on the new girl. It wasn't them at the Ferris Wheel, but it was one of them last night." Is you serious. "Did he have a tattoo?" I asked. "I don't know, you just told me about the tattoo right now so I didn't check." "Who's the senior?" I inquired. "He doesn't go here but his name is Michael."
  3. "Who does he think he is? Then you can tell him that I called him a dick head. Why didn't they do anything to Alex?" Alex fidgeted in his seat. "Because they thought if they did it to me then I'd use my powers on them. Whereas you, you don't really have any yet." "I need to speak to Michael then," I said. "I don't think that's a good idea, Princess. I've seen Michael and he's pretty rough looking," Alex warned. "Princess?" Christofer asked with a smirk. Ignoring him I said, "I don't care if he's rough looking, I'm going to get an apology from him. And don't you dare tell me to stay away from him, Alex. I think we both know how that's going to turn out." "Wasn't going to," he said. "That's why I am," Christofer put in. "I don't want you around him either. He plays games with people's minds and he always wins. I already settled everything with him so there's no need for you do anything." I walked away with a smirk on my face. I was so going to do something. If I don't listen to Alex, then why do they expect me to listen to Christofer?
  4. When the bell rang, I went into French and sat down at my desk with Christofer. "You better not do anything," he said, nudging me on the leg with his knee. "That sounds threatening," I replied, nudging him back. "I'm serious. He's bad news." "And how do you know?" Christofer pursed his lips. "I've had past experiences that I don't want to bring up." I just nodded and asked, "So you and Alex are having a bromance now?" Christofer laughed. "I guess you could say that." "I'm surprised. You guys looked like you hated each other last night." "Oh, don't worry about that." Christofer winked and then Mrs. Bonet started talking about the history of France and how the language was developed.
  5. Mrs. Bonet then passed out a packet explaining our project about the monuments, words, and population of France. I sighed. I don't like projects. "Wanna come over after school?" I asked Christofer. "Um, not today. I have to do something," he replied. "You need to be more specific because if I get at least one B in school, my mom will freak out. She's like an Asian parent on steroids." Christofer averted his eyes from me to his paper. "I have to help my mom move some stuff into the attic." Right. I had a feeling he wasn't really telling the truth but I decided not to press on. "Oh, okay. How about tomorrow?" Christofer smiled. "Sounds like a date." "Yeah, or not. My Auntie Lisa is going to be there and probably Alex so..." "Then I'll take you on a date afterwards, yeah?" He suggested, putting his foot on top of mine. I couldn't help but blush and said, "We'll see."
  6. French passed pretty quickly since I pretty much spaced out when Mrs. Bonet told me to be quiet and started yapping her big mouth about the French Revolution or some fadoodle. So now it was lunch time. You know what that means? FOOOD. I hurried out because if I took my precious time like Christofer did then I'd probably never get lunch. I was about to be first in line when somebody cut right in front of me. Kelsey. Dumb jizz flake. She looked behind her and gave me another one of her smug looks. "Hurry up and order your food!" I heard someone behind me call out. Kelsey, obviously embarrassed, went on and ordered her food. I turned around to see who it was but from all the people I couldn't tell; it didn't matter, but I just wanted to see. I ordered myself a pizza pocket and a Gatorade and went to sit down at a table where I saw April eating alone. "Where's your friends?" I asked in the least rudest way possible. I sat down across from her and opened my Gatorade. She shrugged. "They're over there somewhere. I didn't feel like hanging out with them." She laughed softly which I found adorable since she was so cute. No wonder Zac liked her. "I'm actually getting kind of tired of them. I don't really like being in a group or a crowd of people. I'd rather have a one on one, long term friendship than be in a group of friends where you have to share everyone. I'm kind of selfish when it comes to people. Selfish, but not jealous." She stabbed her salad lettuce with her fork and played with it. "Same here. I mean, I like having a bunch of friends but I only need one best friend that I'll hang out with 24/7," I replied. "I used to have that, but she moved. But now I have Zac. And you. You're kind of the closest thing I've had to a best friend in a long time," she said with a smile.
  7. "Aw, thanks," I said. I would have said more but then Zac came and slid next to April and kissed her on the lips. It was really awkward for me because, first off, I was just sitting there pretending like nothing was happening, and then I felt kind of jealous. I wanted that. "Why so glum, babe?" Zac asked April, crossing his leg over hers. Can I leave now? "Nothing's wrong. Promise. I was just talking to ______ about how you're like my best friend." Maybe I could fake a seizure. Zac intertwined his fingers with April's and kissed her on the nose. "Always?" Or maybe I could just pretend to faint. "Always." What is this, a romance novel? "So like, do you guys want some chips or something because I can go get some," I said lamely. Zac laughed. "No, we're good. Oh hey, did you hear about Alex and that one girl he's taking out on a date after Nick's party?" I think I'll go fall off of Niagra Falls now. "He told me to help him plan it. Who is it?" "Oh I don't know either, I thought you knew," Zac replied. I sighed. "Nope. He said she wanted to keep it on the down low or something." The bell rang and April kissed Zac goodbye. As I was walking to English, Zac joined me by my side and asked, "You're going to Nick's party?"
  8. "Uh yeah, why?" Zac shrugged and said, "Just wondering." I was about to walk into English when Zac hurried in front of me and blocked the entrance. "Can you move?" I asked. "Magic word?" He said, playfully and leaning forward a little. I sighed and muttered out, "please." There was a crowd forming behind me because they were trying to get into class as well and I could feel Mrs. Everdeen eyeing me from inside the class. "The magic word was jubbly, but since I'm going to be late for class I'll let you through," Zac said with a smile. As he was walking past me he poked me in the stomach which made me spazz out a little because you know, being poked feels weird. I heard him laugh behind me as I walked into class. "watch your back with him," said a boy named Ivan as I was walking to my desk. "Why? And besides, I know he has a girlfriend," I started to say. Ivan shrugged. "He's known as the ladies man at this school. Him and April's relationship is the longest he's had." "how long have they been going out?" I asked curiously. "About 3 weeks, I think. You might change that though." "Miss _______, take your seat!" Mrs. Everdeen ordered. Shucks. What did Ivan mean by that? He gave me a small nod and then I went back to my seat because I didn't want to get in trouble.
  9. Class ended when the bell rang. I tried catching Ivan before he left class to finish our conversation but by the time I put all of my stuff away he was nowhere to be seen. I went on to art with major anxiety and took my place next to Alex whom was humming some tunes to himself. Mr. Abernathy stood up among the class and pointed at a word on the board that read "SILENCE". Then he put up on the projector, "Communicate with your partner without talking or making any noises. Silence is key." I sighed. I thought art class was going to be like, I don't know, learning how to draw anime or manga? But I guess not. It's more like theater if you ask me. Alex tapped me on the shoulder and waved. I waved back and gave him a thumbs up. What else was I going to do? Then Alex took out a scrap of paper, scribbled something down on it, and handed it to me. I picked up the piece if paper, unfolded it, and read in my mind, 'movie tonight?' I got out my pencil and wrote down, 'like in the theaters?' and passed it back to him. Alex smiled and then passed on, 'nope"”just you, me, Auntie Lisa, hot chocolate, and the Harry Potter marathon on ABC Family'. I was about to reply to the message when he passed on another slip to me that read, 'or it can be just you and me; whichever you prefer'. I tried not to blush, but I could feel his face heating up. 'I don't think your girlfriend would like that', I replied. Alex raised his eyebrows and then quickly jotted down, 'She's not my girlfriend yet. I'm working on it'.
  10. I looked up at Alex who gave me a wink. I was about to pass another note when Mr. Abernathy started singing at the top of his lungs which startled me. "I've noticed most of you were passing notes in sort of communication and that is a very nice, creative way of thinking. I've noticed others were doing some weird, alien, foregin, Narnian thing I couldn't quite get a good grasp of, but that's okay too. Everybody has different solutions for different situations, right? As for now I suggest you, my fellow sea ponies, to start packing up since the bell with ring in approximately one minute and 22 seconds." I gathered up all of my belongings and stuffed it in my bag. I have no idea why, but I suddenly felt the urge to see Christofer again. I don't know why, but there was something about being in danger that gets me going. I like the adrenaline rush and the suspense of knowing what's going to happen. Like a book. Although if I die that wouldn't be much fun. But there's something about Christofer that makes me trust him even though I barely know this mysterious boy that so happened to appear in my dream.
  11. Alex and I walked out of art class and out on the track. It seems that since Auntie Lisa was getting her hair done at the salon today we had to walk home. Yeah, not a leisurely activity I'd like to do when I get out of this boring, pitiful place called school. "Do you think it's weird?" I asked Alex. He looked at me and said, "Do I think what's weird?" "Do you think it's weird to trust someone with your life that you just met and whenever your with that person your life seems to always be in danger?" Okay, that was more specific than I intended it to be. Alex smiled a little and said, "I don't think it's weird at all. Sometimes people get that vibe from other people. It's like love at first sight." I sunk this in. Was it really? The tune of the ice cream truck was swimming through the air, and by the way Alex's eyes widened at the sound of ice cream I knew he was going to get some. "Get me a strawberry shortcake!" I yelled after him as he started running to the truck like an 8 year old would do. I'm not sure if he heard me, but if he didn't then I'; just make him share his with me. I decided to just continue walking without him since eventually he'd come back and we'd meet up.
  12. I looked both ways before I crossed the street and I watched the ground and listened to my feet crunching the beautiful left over leaves of Fall. I always pictured it snowing over here in California. I always wondered what it would be like to just wake up in the middle of the night or in the morning and find a bunch of now outside. In fact, forget the rain, I'd rather get kissed in the snow. I looked back and then realized that I dropped my chap stick somewhere a while back since I kept it in my back pocket of my jeans. I saw it a distance away so I just decided to go over there and retrieve it. I did not spend that one dollar for nothing. I hurried my pace since it was getting cold and put my chap stick in my bag this time for more secure keeping. I looked around a little just to be aware of my surrounding and then I saw Christofer in the distance with his hands dig in his jacket pockets walking towards the park that was just a block from where I was standing. I don't know, but it didn't seem to me he was moving stuff in the attic, no sir. So I decided to turn into Nancy Drew and follow him. Spy, if you want to go there and call it that.
  13. I made sure to keep my head low, and I even put my hood on even though my jacket would still give me away if he remembered what I was wearing. He was leaning against the big tube slide when I dodged behind a bush. I peeked my eyes over so I could see him. Nothing happened at first. I waited and waited, and all he did was stand there. I was about to give up and leave when I heard some murmurs coming from behind me. I turned around, still remaining hidden, and looked to see who it was. There were two guys that I didn't recognize. They were both wearing long, red robes that went to their ankles. I couldn't see there faces though because they were wearing hoods low on their heads. A woman with 2 toddlers walked by the, and they didn't seem to notice anything strange. If I were that lady and I saw two men dressed like that, I'd think they were creepers and start running away with my kids on my back like a monkey.
  14. The two strangers walked up to Christofer and then in a blink of an eye they changed into normal looking teenage boys. You know how in the really hip movies, the jocks are always wearing those varsity jackets that are way over used by teenagers these days because they supposedly give you "swag"? Yeah, they were wearing them. One of the boys was taller, more muscly than the other. As a matter of fact, compared to him, the other looked like a twig while he was a tree. The taller one had light brown hair to the bottom of his ears, a piercing on his bottom lip, and he just looked...scary. I don't really know how else to describe him. He was big and intimidating. The other one had blonde hair, was skinny as a needle and looked like he'd never harm a fly. Quite a match if you asked me. I made my way stealthily and slowly closer to hear the conversation. "Hey, Christofer," the blonde said with s mile. Christofer just nodded. He didn't seem like he wanted to be there at the moment. "Did you tell her?" The taller one asked in a rough voice. Christofer sighed and said, "yeah, I did. What exactly are we meeting here for? Do you not trust me?" The taller one laughed a bit and said, "Trust is a tricky subject, don't you think? Tell me, what exactly did you tell her?" "I told her that it was a prank. I don't need your help. I can handle this on my own terms," Christofer replied icily. The blonde smirked and mumbled, "It didn't seem like it at the carnival." Christofer narrowed his eyes as he asked, "What do you mean?" Before he could respond, the taller one shoved him and warned, "Shut up, James." "You shut up, Michael," James replied. Michael. So this was the guy? I felt anger rise in me. Not only for Michael but for Christofer too. What did he mean? Was it really a prank or not? I was fighting the urge to jump out of the bushes and start coming at them, but it was three against one. So I kept listening.
  15. "How about you both shut up. Now I need to go. Just make sure it doesn't happen again." Michael snorted and said, "We were just doing what you couldn't do." Christofer glared at him with such intensity in his eyes it felt like fire against my skin. And he wasn't even looking at me. "I told you, I can handle it by myself. Worry about yourself, not me." James smirked as Christofer turned around and called, "We're not afraid of you. Stop trying to act superior because Oath gave you this position. It's not going to last forever unless you get the girl." I could see the corners of Christofer's lips curve upward into a smile. "Believe me; I've got her wrapped around my finger."
