  1. Christofer shrugged and then sat down. I faked a smile and walked in where I immediately caught Alex's eye. I saw Sam by the trash throwing something away and he waved at me. I waved back and walked up to him. "Hey, Sam. Are you guys leaving already?" Alex joined us and I gave him a small smile. "Yeah, we're just about to head out right now. Where's April?" Sam asked, looking around. "Oh, she went to the bathroom because her eyeliner was messed up from the paddle boat ride, thing. I was just going to get some clubs and balls to play mini golf. I didn't know you guys were coming to Mulligans; we could have all played together," I lied. "I'd invite you guys to play with us but you probably already did a whole round of golf already. Well, it was nice seeing you again, Sam. I'll see you at home, Alex." A;ex looked like he was about to say something but I walked away before he could say it. I grabbed the clubs and made sure Sam and Alex left before I went back outside to Christofer. I handed him the black golf ball because he seems to like the color, while I had red.
  2. "Sorry it took so long, I ran into Alex and Sam," I explained while we were walking to the mini golf course. "Oh, so you didn't tell them you were with me?" He asked. "Nope. Why, did you want them to know?" "No, it's fine. I don't really care if we're seen together by Alex." I sighed. "You know, if you two hung out more I bet you'd be like, best friends. You two are kind of alike to me." Christofer laughed lightly. "How?" I threw my golf ball up in the air and caught it. "You both are kind of stubborn, you guys are a little overly confident, and you both like Modern Warfare 3?" I guessed on the last one. "How'd you know I like Modern Warfare 3?" Christofer asked, putting the ball. Hole in one. "I assumed since Alex just got it in the mail and he's been playing it all day," I replied, swinging at the ball and miserably missing. Christofer smirked and said, "Okay, but we're also very different. It's complicated, let's just leave it at that." I putt the ball again, and it missed the hole again.
  3. "Ugh, stupid ball." Christofer propped his golf club against the tree and started towards me. He got behind me, put his hands over mine on the putter and said into my ear, "You have to hit the ball with just the right amount of power." I, or him, swung the club and shot the ball into the hole. Excited, I looked up at him and he looked down on me. We locked the gaze for a few seconds before I broke away and went to retrieve the ball so we could go to Hole #2. "So um, I guess you're winning," I said, slightly blushing. "Yeah, I guess so. But don't worry, from now on I'll go easy on you."
  4. He picked up his golf ball and we continued on to Hole #2. E passed all the holes and went in to eat. We weren't really keeping score, but I'm guessing Christofer won. I let him win, but I didn't want to lower his self esteem, 'cause you know. I chose a table and looked over the menu. "Do you really want to pay for this? I mean, I have money," I said, feeling bad. "I'll pay. It's really no big deal. That's what guys do on dates, right?" I blushed. "So...this is a date?" Christofer smiled. "Well, we're at a nice place, we're about to eat some decent food, and I'm with a beautiful girl. So yeah, I'll take this as a date." I started panicking. I never had a guy call me beautiful before. "Um...I'll have pizza." Wow, I'm so lame. Hey, don't blame me. That's the only thing I could think of to say without starting to fan girl. Christofer let out a small laugh and said, "Great. Any kind in particular?" I'm such a dork. "Uh-I-Hawaiian?" "Okay, I'll be right back." I just nodded and one he was gone, slumped down in my chair. I was so smooth there, don't you agree?
  5. I felt like a loner so I got out my phone and pretended to text when I was actually playing games. Christofer came back with a receipt in his hand. "We're number 67." He put the receipt on the table and took his seat across from me. I nodded and then he asked me what my power was. I'm such a sad excuse for the supernatural world. "I'm kind of still developing my first one." That didn't seem to surprise Christofer which caught me off guard because when my grandma found out she started freaking out and accused me of being adopted. "Are you sure? I mean, maybe you've gotten them but you don't know how to use them." I pondered over this. Maybe it was true. Was I so stupid I couldn't even figure out how to use my own power?
  6. "But anyways, your mom's an aquavibe?" An aquavibe is a person who can basically control water. Like Percy Jackson. Logan Lerman is so cute, oh my gosh. Anyways, my mom's an aquavibe and she's pretty kick ass at being one. One time when I was 7, we were at the beach and this kid kept on kicking my sand castles down so my mom cast this huge wave on the kid and pulled him into the ocean. She didn't kill him, but he got pretty scared because he thought it was Trident from the Little Mermaid. "Yeah, and my dad's a fire starter. I know, they're completely opposites, but you know what they say: Opposites attract." Oh jeez, I sounded like my grandpa when he told me how he and Grandma met. "That would be really cool if you inherited both of their powers. Both of my parents are Astrobits, and what's ironic about it is that they're astronomers too." "NUMBER 67!" said a voice on the intercom. Christofer smiled, and rose from the table to get the food. He was so cute. I have no idea why Alex wants me to stay away from him when he barely even knows him. First impressions shouldn't count as anything.
  7. Christofer came back with the food impersonating a waiter and said, "One slice of Hawaiian pizza and a basket of cheese fries." He put the plates down professionally. "Would you like a drink?" I smiled and said, "Sprite sounds nice." "Coming right up. But you just to let you know that will require extra tip." I laughed when he left to get the drinks. So...should I start eating now or wait for him? Ugh, this date stuff is so overwhelming sometimes. I took a small bite from my pizza and set it down because it was really hot. Then my mind flashed back when Alex ate that pizza pocket and he screamed out because it burned his tongue. Alex; Christofer; Zac? Sam. No, Nick. Ugh. Christofer came back, put the drinks down on the table and sat back down. The pizza cooled a little bit so I took a bigger bite and chewed it. Christofer ate his fries with a fork and I thought that was pretty damn classy for a guy.
  8. "Were you invited to Nick's party?" I asked him after a sip of Sprite. "Yup, were you?" I nodded. "Do you know what his parties are like? I mean, I don't want to go to a party with a bunch of alcohol and drugs..." Christofer shook his head and said, "Nick wouldn't allow that. He's clean as far as I'm concerned. His parties are fun but responsible. There might be some alcohol there and there might be spin the bottle, but other than that, it's fine." I sighed in relief. "Oh okay, just making sure. Are you going?" "Yeah, I wouldn't want to miss spin the bottle with you there," he said playfully. I laughed and said, "Not if Alex shoots you first." "I'll make sure to wear my bullet proof vest then," Christofer replied with a smile.
  9. We finished up our food and headed back to the car. "my car is running low on gas so I'll just stop by the gas station before bringing you home. Is that cool?" I nodded and put my seat belt on. I checked my phone for missed alerts and saw that I got none. "You owe me a tip for being your chauffeur too," Christofer said with a flirty smile. "I'll remember that when you drop me off," I replied with a soft laugh. We drove into the gas station and Christofer parked the car and filled it with gas as he went inside to pay. I was alone in the car so I just decided to sing to myself. "Baby you light up my world like nobody else...you put my love on top...boy you got my heart beat running away...OH MY GOSH." Yeah, the last part wasn't a song. I was just chilling in the car when suddenly a man wearing a beanie low on his head and wearing all black jumps onto the hood of the car. I screamed, but the guy put a finger to his lips, telling me to be quiet. Then he disappeared.
  10. I sighed in relief. Maybe it was just imagination. Then he reappeared right next to me. I tried to scream again but he put his gloved hand on my mouth and fumbled for something in his jacket pocket. I used my hands to grab at his hand covering my mouth and managed to remove part of the glove. The man was light skinned and had a tattoo on the back of his wrist of something that looked like flames or something orange; I couldn't make it out because he pulled his hand away so fast. "What do you want!?" I managed to say. Then I saw Christofer running towards the car. The man turned around and once he saw him he disappeared again. Christofer rushed to the car and opened the door. He held my face in his hands and questioned, "You okay? What happened?!" I explained everything to him. "Okay, let's get out of here." He started the car and we were off. "So, he just appeared in the car like that?" He asked. "Yeah, out of thin air," I replied, still in after shock. "He's probably an Air Bender." "An air bender? Like Ang?" Christofer nodded. "There are a whole bunch of air benders out there. What did he want?" "I have no idea. Could this be another trick? Like what happened at the carnival?" Christofer clenched his jaw. "It better not be. Just be sure you're careful wherever you are, okay? Here, put your number in my phone." We stopped at a red light and he handed me his Black Berry. My trembling hands had a hard time with the small buttons but I still got my number in.
  11. I put the phone aside and asked, "How do you know where I live anyways? I don't recall ever telling you." "With the names of people moving in, we're notified where they live so that we know who to trust." I guess he was talking about the Supernatural Community; which probably means there's a whole lot of paranormal people living here. "Why is it always me?" I said out loud. "Bad luck maybe? Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you when you're with me." Christofer reassured. Bad luck. Or Karma. Karma for those chocolates? Karma for allowing Zac to flirt with me? Or just bad luck. Christofer parked in my driveway and walked me to my door. We stood there standing fact to face, my back to the door. "Regardless of what hapened at the gas station, I had fun on this...date," he said with a smile. "Me too. Thank you for everything. You saved my life twice already, I think." He nodded and then I turned to go inside when he said, "Wait, you still owe me that tip." I turned back around and smiled awkwardly. "You're not literal, right?" Yeah, I'm a dork. Christofer laughed, hooked his fingers on the belt loops of my jeans and whispered, "Come here." He pulled me close to him so that our foreheads were touching. Oh my carrot sticks, his eyes were amazing. Like all the stars in the world were in them. "You smell like pineapples," he said with a small laugh. We both leaned in slowly. Our lips were barely touching when I heard the door open behind me.
