Most of us go through life, looking not at the foundations of our very livelihood, but at the more superficial concerns: our property, fiscal and aesthetic achievements, shallow relationships, etc. Then, there are more concerned individuals: those whose intelligence and responsible personalities prevent them from enjoying such mindless self-indulgence. These are the non- and anti-consumerists.
